Couple of things, yes, this is an upcoming character reveal (your first peak essentially).
His name, personality, etc is what you will need to wait for (I could tell you, but I'm nasty and junk). Yes, you will have to wait for more information.
No, not everyone in Dragon Age 2 is romanceable. It seems that every NPC we have shown (Varric, Flemeth, Aveline, Isabela, etc) MUST be a romance. This line of thinking will lead to disappointment as Dragon Age II is an action RPG, NOT a dating simulator.
Y'know, out of these characters I personally think this sexy elf-man is the most likely LI aside from Isabela. Varric and Aveline I'm not sure of (but leaning towards no), and Flemeth is definitely not one.
And I still think we may get 6 LIs instead of 4.

And yet I get booed off of the forums when I try and point this out.

That's fine. I just hope that the romances we do get will be AMAZING.

I still have my fingers crossed for Varric. That would a very original romance.

Only all the good-looking companions.

And that is why, despite how much I also want it to happen, it will not be. Originality seems to be sinonym with money repellant to the producing suits.

Fans are far creepier than anything Deliverance could manage.

Well, he's not a mage, and he's not a woman, and he's not human, so I have no idea. The feathers?CruserBoii wrote...
Why do I get such a Morrigan vibe from him?
People keep saying it looks like he's wearing feathers, though it just looks like the stylized armor to me. More like light armor than heavy, so I'm guessing a rogue.
I'm also with Herr Uhl, I thought it was just facial tattooing on his face, but nothing wrong with some stubble.

Wait, DG wrote the romance part of Alistair? Wow. Hats off to you, DG. Alistair's romance was amazing. Now I really do hope this elf is a LI.

In Aveline's concept art, she wears no armor and only clothes. I'm really hoping he's a warrior.

There are clearly feathers tied to it. Look at the shin-guards.

It's the constant facial expression of "Ugh, what is that smell? Oh, it's morality. "

I actually think both Aveline and Varric would make very interesting and compelling romance options but physically they're not mainstream-attractive so I'm not sure of their viability (but then again, Garrus and Thane. So I dunno.).

In the artwork he looks sinister-ish. He's most likely a Dalish elf(unless the elves normally look like that in the Free Marches) and Hawke delivers a package to them from Flemeth. I dunno, I'm over thinking it. I'll wait for the official reveal to make more assumptions.

Of the only ones we've seen, I'd only make a gambit that Isabela and the elf guy are romances based purely on appearance, and, well, one-half was right.
I'm with you on this one. As much as there will be comments like 'we shouldn't judge them by appearance', I don't think BW would make the LI unappealing esthetically.
But then again, it may be wishful thinking on my part. The guy has some nice design going and I was actually waiting for another male companion to appear.
(And yes, I’ll definitely join his fan club when he’s officially announced and I’ll be able to find a thread to grin like a school girl at his design with others.
