I don't see wimpy at ALL in his concept art. Screenshots....maybe. But it's a bad shot, so I'm not passing judgement on it yet.

Yes he looks confident, but visually he looks wimpy/girly I didn't mean mentally. Legolas was pretty confident...

You need to reexamine the concept art and in game picture if you think he looks buff. Look at those arms. Buffest? Really? He's like Justin Bieber age 30 with dyed white hair.

Elves tend to be feminine like dwarfs tend to be masculine. Just how it is.

I don't think he looks frail at all. He's got the lithe elven thing going on sure, but frail? Only compared to WoW elves, who are ridiculously ripped.



I'm way behind on this thread but now I'm really curious about his VA since that Gaider comment Maria dug up. And about the mysterious unannounced female character he mentioned.

Like Mel said, the in-game screen is a bad shot. And I didn't say he was buff - because he's not, in comparison to Varric or Carver - but he is the buffest elf I've seen in the DA world.

I think when looking at elves and dwarves we tend to forget that they're from a whole different race. I don't mean you in particular, Wishpig, but in general.

Whats your point? You just restated what I said and seemed confused about it. Thats like me saying "well like dwarfs tend to be hairy, Varric is hairy." Then you going "well he IS a dwarf." No duh... thats kind of my point silly.

In part due to the exagerated almost cartoony art style. Everyone has thinner waists and a bigger upper body. The superhero treatment if you will.

Ya there from a diffrent race, but lets face it, elves look like "pretty" "fey" humans with pointy ears and dwarfs look short and tough. They all look so similar it's not unjust to compare them physically. And for the most part each race LOOKS like what it is. Elves look quick and agile dwarfs look tough and strong. And that is indeed the cliche.

My point is: Well, he is an elf, so to be built like a "typical elf" is not strange. I'm trying to understand what you are looking for....an elf that's built like a body builder??

Me thinks you didn't read all my posts. Someone said he looks wimpy. Someone else asked why the former thinks that, claiming he looks very confident and not cowardly. I stepped in and said, "well he prob means he looks frail not that he IS a wimp." And then I said thats typical of elves, they're frail and agile.

I'm not looking for anything, like you I'm just saying THATS the case.

If he isn't a mage I really hope he's a rogue. He just doesn't look like a Warrior and considering dual weapon Warriors are out I just can't see him with a giant 2-handed sword or Sword and Shield..



But there seems to be a lack of Warriors so far. I don't know.

It's possible that he won't be a warrior, rogue, or mage. Both Dog and Shale didn't have regular talents.

Yep, that's what I failed at representing anyway ! And in case it's unclear, Hawke and Varric are holding combs, H for his beard and V for his chest hair. I wanted them to be in front of some big mirror in camp but that would have been overestimating my touchpad drawing skills. Especially since my laziness won't let me spend more than 15 minutes on a drawing these days...
