It's not out of the park. After all, Isabela is the only one that's definitely announced as a LI. Aveline I'm not too positive on. The last game had two HF LIs.

Maybe. I won't make a fool of myself of saying that it's impossible, but she has a lot of factors BioWare has never, ever associated with any of their love interests. Like not being pretty (say what you will of Isabela, but she was designed, at least, to look sexy) and being very muscular (her arms being literally based off of a man's).

Also, as far as non-romancable young-to-middle age characters...Kasumi? She's a DLC character, so she really doesn't go too far to count. I'd say Samara, but she's sort of old. Mission Vao was too young. Canderous was probably too old (although he can't have been more than a decade older than Revan). I wish I could say Mira, but Obsidian doesn't count.

Um...technically Haer'Dalis isn't romancable (shh, I don't care if he was intended to be!).

Could he be an elf from the time of Arlathan? I mean from the destiny trailer we see one of those guardians of elf ruins so we could be heading there. But randoming guessing on my part.

It's true he resembles Zev's concept art but, if anything, this fellow looks a bit more arrogant and less friendly - kinda of Sten+Zev if that's possible

Someone mentioned he could be the last guardian of Arlathan. I rather liked the idea, but I sort of dislike the idea of a LI being centuries older than your character. 

But it would raise some interesting issues, as your presence would "quicken" him, and, to him, you're just a fleeting moment in time before you die. However, if he was awakened from some sort of statis, maybe he's not immortal. Still, the likelihood of him hating all humans and being incredibly nerve-grating is over 9000 in that case.

It'd be so awesome to have Hawke hit on him and just a flat "I'm into elves" as a response, given the consequences of human/elf cross-breeding any proper elf really shouldn't be into it.

Eh, I could live with it.  Now, watching my male human mage have sex with Zevran...that was rather awkward.  Moreso than the fact that my mage had sex with Morrigan, Zevran, and Leliana in less than 45 minutes

Hell yes. Usually I prefer it with one optional Earn Your Happy Ending at a price, just to balance it out. But tragedy, mmm yes.

After failing to romance him throughout the entire game, because he could only love an elf, he'll take a qunari's axe for Hawke. After killing the qunari, Hawke rushes to his side. Mortally wounded, he professes his love for her, claiming that he turned down Hawke's advances because he was afraid that as one of the last pure-blood elves, he would outlive her, and he couldn't bear that thought. They share their first, and last, kiss, as another group of qunari appear over a hill. Hawke will have to leave him behind to be killed by the qunari.

Or something. Just brainstorming here.
