He could just be flat out qunari.  We haven't seen any of their non-warriors yet, but since they've been breeding selectively for jobs for a long time, he may be an ashkaari or something.

That's actually what I was thinking when Gaider said he wasn't Dalish or a mage. A non-Qunari follower of the Qun would be interesting to see. I wonder if he'd be Tal'Vasoth too?

He looks pretty awesome.. but the barefeet just bug the crap out of me. Aveline fighting in a leather apron wasn't a big deal for me, but bare feet with that armor/cloth wrap around? Ugh.. going to bug me for a while.

Alistair has a cameo, yes but not as full-time companion. It is a difference to write a couple of lines or a full companion.

They don't, I just went back and watched the Destiny trailer - the designs on the Qunari are more angular.  That being said...

OT: In the Destiny trailer, Hawke gets cut across the abdomen by the Qunari axe, but then when he goes to Blood Magic Activate, he makes a new cut in his arm.  Why?  USE THE ONE YOU'VE GOT, STUPID.  Okay, rant over.

However, I don't believe this is Zevran either.  I was making a joke when I said I hoped it wasn't Zevran with the new face morph system.  Apparently, a bad one :innocent:

But the companions were missing one from a very unique and special background, which could go with the Arlathan theory, last time we had Shale.

Sorry, but I have to ask it. Is the art team missing the comics from the 90s? Too many spikes. Hope his personality doesn´t follow that.

It ´s funny that fantasy usually went for elf females for companions and LIs, but DA goes the other way.

Maybe he likes feathers? Maybe his possessive girlfriend has a feather fetish and forces him to wear that outlandish getup (that's prime companion quest material, BTW)? I mean, I'm pretty sure that Morrigan and Flemeth haven't copyrighted feathers in Thedas. Not yet.

Well no it hasn't been confirmed he is a companion. But that's what's going to be assumed to be true until proven otherwise.

But Zev was a major character in Origins. They've said the reason why Isabela got such a drastic revamp was because she was a minor character who was becoming a major one in the sequel, and therefore needed a more unique look. The opposite would be true of Zev.

There were almost too many elf women before Dragon Age available as romances and companions. But it's off-topic.
Maybe they are doing a series of elf men now.
