Justice was an abomination but not a mage.
I don't exactly consider him like the others, because his host was dead, so I'm unsure if there are any abomination non-mages out there that retain any sanity.

Could be a Qunari Elf (elf that follows the Qun). They have elves. My Beresaad buddy told me so.
I think he looks the melee rogue to me.
That would be awesome. Also, think about it - what other race out there is shown to have body art in DA:2 screenshots? I'm on board with you, that's my favorite theory.
Qunari elf. I like it. I don't even care if it's true, it amuses me the most.
He could just be flat out qunari. We haven't seen any of their non-warriors yet, but since they've been breeding selectively for jobs for a long time, he may be an ashkaari or something.
I know, he's probably an elf, but it'd be neat.

That's actually what I was thinking when Gaider said he wasn't Dalish or a mage.
He looks pretty awesome.. but the barefeet just bug the crap out of me. Aveline fighting in a leather apron wasn't a big deal for me, but bare feet with that armor/cloth wrap around? Ugh.. going to bug me for a while.

Not THIS again /sigh. You are aware that Alistair could be dead after DAO as well yet has cameos if he's alive, right?
I don't get why this is such a hard concept for people. Just because someone dies in YOUR game doesn't mean they die in everyone's game.
Alistair has a cameo, yes but not as full-time companion. It is a difference to write a couple of lines or a full companion.

Ahh I didn't even consider that. Good thinking! The only problem with that is, I don't think the design of his armor or tattoos looks very much like Qunari designs.
They don't, I just went back and watched the Destiny trailer - the designs on the Qunari are more angular. That being said...
OT: In the Destiny trailer, Hawke gets cut across the abdomen by the Qunari axe, but then when he goes to Blood Magic Activate, he makes a new cut in his arm. Why? USE THE ONE YOU'VE GOT, STUPID. Okay, rant over.

Can this be the Silvius guy Ser Gaider mentioned before?Or someone with a quite similar name, for that matter.
He doesn't look Mad. Just irritated. Like, "How much longer do I have to pose for this painting?"

qunaris: look, one of those elves wants to join....time for a little prank
*puts feathery armor on the guy*
elf: are you sure this is ceremonial qunari armor
qunari: you disrespect us elf *giggles to self*

In length, maybe. But it won't be half as entertaining!
I'd also like to know who wrote this guy.

Ah, I didn't realize it had been confirmed that this was a full-time companion. In fact, i don't believe it has been.
However, I don't believe this is Zevran either. I was making a joke when I said I hoped it wasn't Zevran with the new face morph system. Apparently, a bad one :innocent:

But the companions were missing one from a very unique and special background, which could go with the Arlathan theory, last time we had Shale.

It ´s funny that fantasy usually went for elf females for companions and LIs, but DA goes the other way.

Why use feathers? Who else uses feathers? Morrigan and Flemeth use feathers.
Maybe he likes feathers? Maybe his possessive girlfriend has a feather fetish and forces him to wear that outlandish getup (that's prime companion quest material, BTW)? I mean, I'm pretty sure that Morrigan and Flemeth haven't copyrighted feathers in Thedas. Not yet.

Well no it hasn't been confirmed he is a companion. But that's what's going to be assumed to be true until proven otherwise.

I doubt they'd change Zevran that much, though he does bear a striking similarity to the early concepts of Zevran.
Never underestimate the powers of Hot Rod Samurai...
But Zev was a major character in Origins. They've said the reason why Isabela got such a drastic revamp was because she was a minor character who was becoming a major one in the sequel, and therefore needed a more unique look. The opposite would be true of Zev.

There were almost too many elf women before Dragon Age available as romances and companions. But it's off-topic.
Maybe they are doing a series of elf men now.
