Hellooo sexy elf-man, who are *you*? (You are Fenris! Hooray for you!)

But about that magazine article, did it mention anything about the elf? I know scans are not allowed, but did they just throw the art out into the world without extra information?

How in the hell did this reach 61 pages in 24 hours with nothing more than a drawing in a South African magazine and Gaider's denial of two arbitrarily proposed character qualities?
Right. That's why Aveline's thread reached 64 pages over months while this one did it in 24 hours. And the PCG review is only 11 pages. And the thread where David and Mary explained the friendship/rivalry system in detail is 10 pages long.

This is why the pretty/shiny theory works.

Because people go nuts over this sort of thing. Sorry, a more in-depth critique on such a topic is beyond my skill.DSerpa wrote...

Indeed. As ever, the female furor over attractive men leaves me bedeviled.
However, I hope to profit from it!

My feelings & speculations,
I like the look, wary of what it may turn in to when it's put in game.
I think he will have to be a rogue as I think he's an archer, makes me wonder how he got to be a rogue (if he is one at all) I hope it's not for being a Crow, another elven assassin would be lame, even if he was different than Zevran. Maybe he's a bounty hunter type in Kirkwall?

But none of that was new as in brand new information. We learned about Aveline and the friendship/rivalry approval system back when most of the North American cons were still going on, and a steady stream of information was being released.
This guy is the first absolutely new thing we have learned in a very long time.

It was about this time I thought, 'Yes, desperation for information has led people to some weird places.' and then thought this was maybe all some elaborate scheme for turds and lol's.
Then I scrolled down and was admittedly mildly disappointed that my initial reaction was incorrect, but then was overcome by the awesomeness I see in the elf's resemblance to Jeff Goldblum.

That's exactly what I want to know! I've been trying to find out if there's any way to get the magazine online, since I'm not going to subscribe to a magazine for one issue that has to come all the way from South Africa.

BAHAHAHA.
I don't see it but, still. Whenever I think of Goldblum I think of his wonderfully stupid performance in the remake of The Fly.
MEG's srs backstory time will go something like this.

Aveline simply doesn't have a string of drooling fangirls so she's lagging way behind.

HAHA! I love that film in a idisgusting weird 'Whey do I like this film?' kind of way. Personally though, in Earth Girls are Easy he is just too damn dreamy *Squeals with delight*...not that you really needed to know that, but I had to get that off my chest.
Edit: idisgusting? I think that may be a law suit....or the best new fad ever!

I can confirm there's nothing at all about him in the article. (and I read it through twice hoping for a seedling of a reference - being starved for information is hard
In slightly unrelated news, there is a screen I hadn't seen yet, where Isabela is fighting a blonde woman with longish hair. And the hair looks good. I'm pretty confident they'll be able to pull off Meg's hawt do - if they keep it the way it is in the concept, that is.

If this becomes another 300 page megathread I shall be suitably amused that it was Anarya that created it, what with the original Varric thread being her creation as well.

It's a gift I guess (most useless talent ever? I think so.) I don't know how to feel about this.
I pretty much chose Varric and Meg for thread creation because A. I found their concepts especially compelling and B. I thought they'd be followers (which is why I did not make a Cassandra thread despite loving her concept art).
