Possible.
Or . . . it could be lyrium related . . . . maybe Meg is made of Lyrium . . . . .
If the entirely factual sexiness theory wasn't true, that'd be my second guess. Well, not that he's made of lyrium, just has something to do with it

Guess I'm going to have to whip out my reference pictures of ugly bulging biceps.
They're most likely veins.
Compare to reference: bicep foot
So he has magic glowy blood. But not a mage.

This supports my theory. Sexiness runs through veins. My tenth grade biology tells me so.

So he has magic glowy blood. But not a mage.
Then it could be someone else's magic. He could be possessed or a host for something or under somebody's influence but not in a blood magic way. Could explain the sort of under eye circle looking smudges as well, because... being posessed is exhausting. Or something.
One day he was all "oh look at me I'm your average black haired elf with cool geometric neck and chin tattoos" and then something came along and ruined his day and turned his hair white.

Now that would make for quite the interesting character. Although, he doesn't look like Sophia Dryden or Justice or any of the other possessions we've seen. Unless it's a new kind of possession. It would lead to some interesting personal quests, as well.

Well, Justice and Sophia were spirits in corpses, IIRC. So if possession of a more... puppet and puppetmaster variety is afoot it would probably look different.

Maybe possession in the way Wynne was possessed? She gained some pretty unique abilities from it; Maybe something like that affects non-mages differently.

I doubt they'd do quite the same thing twice. It could be posession/control in a one living/mortal being unto another way. Going where the bad guy cannot, like a remote control car.

Yeah, but the other posessions, like Wynn(As crookedasylum mentioned) and Connor didn't really have any outward signs they were possessed.
The puppet thing, though...if there were some very powerful mage using him to spy or something, but glowing veins seems a little too obvious for subtle spypossession.
The glowy kind of makes me think of Atlantis, which brings my mind back to Arlathan and I've just gone around in a big circle =/

Hmm. True. Maybe he is an Arlathian elf, then. Possession-by-villain seems pretty interesting, though.
Or maybe he found some interesting body paint from a vendor who constantly had the munchies.

Oh I agree. Maybe he can turn it off. Or is generally okay with his boss-man's demands and the lights only come on when boss man has to get him to do something he genuinely doesn't want to do. Elf guy looks bitter, he could be on the blacker side of the morality spectrum on his own and just need an extra push to slay the innocent or whatever.

So maybe he is a grim thief.
This vagueness surrounding him frustrates me and forces me to think creatively at the same time.

Oooo, I always like me some chaotic neutral (I guess that's what it would be called?). They already did crappy home life with Zevran, but maybe he had another kind of life that would lead up to this.
Wild mass guessing is fun

As long as you understand that saying "It's too anime, I don't like it" doesn't actually mean anything to anyone other than you.
I'm not sure of that. I've heard several people describe things as being 'too anime.'
If you say "I don't like it because his proportions seem off, especially the length of his legs in comparison to his torso" then we have an idea what you are objecting to. "I don't like the way the artist inked the hair," means something, "I wish there was more detail in his facial features," means something.
You realize the average person wouldn't be able to make those judgments, yes? It's like asking someone without a musical background to talk about the incomplete cadence of of melody. How many people could even perceive different inking styles in a finished piece?
