As it was suggested in the past, insignificant people don't get concept art. :?

Or David Gaider writing them.

David writes minor NPCs.

Oh?

I always wonder about that, who wrote about Jowan, Tamlen, Ser Gilmore and Cullen?

Probably the people who wrote their respective questlines.

So chances are it would be David who wrote them.

Still, they don't get concept art, MEG is. And this says something.

Exactly, I just wanted to have your back earlier and saying 'this' didn't have as much oomph.

Mmmmhm!
What have we been reduced to? Awkward grunting noises it appears. :D
I think namedforthemoon meant to add some OOMPH to my oomph by bolding and capitalizing it.  Though I could be entirely off kilter.

David did the Human Noble origin, but I think Sheryl did the Mage origin and Mary did the dwarven origins.

*roflmao* Sorry, can't resist.

BW usually reveal something on Fridays (or so it seems....according to my various FB sites). Let's hope they do that before Christmas.

Think of it as their lovely Christmas pressie for us :o

Really? Now this might sounds a bit rediculous, but I am completely unaware of that.

I know David wrote the Nature of the Beast quest but which one wrote which origin is completely news to me!

You should have seen me on the old forums when Zevran was just announced.

Actually, you should have seen all the ladies. I even have a few screencaps for old times sakes.

^ Good times. Good times.

I remember when Lady Shayna was saying that she was crushing on Alistair and wanted him to be romanceable. LOL. Omg and the thread by Chris that was titled, "On the subject of Alistair being romanceable..." Ahhh, like 50 pages in one day.

Wow, were their personalities known by then or was that all just based on concept art and stuff? Because Alistair and Zevran's respective reactions to the mass glompage is totally in-character.

Oh, I wish I'd been there to see that; that must be an utter classic thread.

Um, yes. Alistair and Zev has intro videos by then :) I do recall some people guessing character traits, though.

All this walking down memory lane.. I didn't follow Origins' development but I don't think I would have been excited about any of the romanceable characters pre-release. Heck, I didn't even get that excited when I first met Alistair and Zevran in-game (of course, I didn't know about the whole romanceable component either, having played KOTOR I and II without following the romance plots twice).

It's amazing to look back now and see how crazy everyone got (especially now that I am following DA 2 and going equally crazy over Varric). Really puts things in perspective, doesn't it? I sure hope these characters have awesome personalities to go with their juicy concept art.

Well if Gaider's comment a while back about wanting to write a romance that had a stoic, gruff guy pushing you up against a wall says anything then I think we are in for a treat :P

Oh? I've missed that comment. Consider me curious. Most curious.

I still would like to be pleasantly surprised by the romances in the game, overall. I sort of liked how Zev and Alistair both came onto my character first and not the other way around in Origins. That's always a bit flattering.

I was completely clueless about the romances too. I remember when the first flirt line for Alistair came up, the one about dreaming of making mad love in your tent. I was like: O_O! I can't say that to him, I just met the guy! He'll think I'm totally creepy! Thought it was a joke throwaway line. Little did I know...

So yeah, never did get anyone to "love" status my first playthrough. *is clueless*
