In the magazine he was next to companions like Aveline and Varric, so he's probably a companion.

I'm sure many non-companion characters have concept art, but didn't one of the devs say earlier that MEG would be a future character reveal, which implies that he will most likely be a companion, seeing as how they didn't have character reveals for non-companion NPC's in origins... or did they? I'm not entirely sure now...  ...did they?

Was there anything in the magazine that gave..any information other than the concept art? It just seems so random to insert a piece of art without some sort of caption or description to go with it.

I don't care if it seems silly to some about how long this thread has gotten already, it's a new someone/something to have fun musing over like anything else that has popped up about the game. It's not the first time it has happened and it won't be the last even if he remains concept art it was fun speculating

As the I recall, the Dragon Age: Origin's character pages only include the companions.

This was also the first thing that came into my mind when MEG was mentioned as being a possible "push you up against the wall"-type of LI.  I mean...come on, I would just giggle for realz.  He would accidently headbump LadyHawke's chin!

That being said, I don't know why the height issue is bothering me so much in MEG - I had no problem with Zevran.

I'm enjoying the "pushed up against a wall" imagery more with Nathaniel than MEG, honestly. It just seems so.. appropriate. And fun!



MEG though, I get a similar "mystery-man" vibe but I'm not sure if he looks like the stoic sort. And there IS that pesky height issue to worry about, though DA elves aren't super short. Still, I've always felt weird about the girl being taller than the guy unless she's a super-model wearing back-breaking-high-heels.

Ya'll are acting like you can't fangasm over a minor character anyway. Look at Ser Gilmore, Daveth, Shianni or Tamlen. Even if Meg were just a random piece of concept art for 'generic elf rogue mob 1', hewould still be a mighty fine random piece of concept art that we can perv over.

Besides, I highly doubt they'd slip in random concept art #32 right next to Isabela, Aveline and Varric.

Trust me, I scoured the entire four-paged spread about three times searching for a hint of a reference, nothing. The concept art for everyone was placed decoratively on the page by some screenshots, so it doesn't look random on the actual article.

I'm starting to think it's all been part of BioWare's marketing plan. That, or the writers were getting short on tears again.

Indeed.  It's so easy to do it too. 

In Meg's LI defense, at least he's not related to Hawke. And uh, he's looks nice and it'd be shame to leave him leave him all in his lonesome.  Yeah, that was a stretch in my reasoning..w/e

Haha, true. I was all "B!tch, back the F off of my Bann Teagan" when Isolde showed up.

I'm pretty certain in my own little head that Meg'll look similar to his concept art, but we're basing a lot of speculation in regards to his personality on the concept.  Alistair looked like a grumpy gills in his concept, and look how that turned out.

Though I never played NWN2 (I skipped right to Mask of the Betrayer!) I was always intrigued by the Bishop character.  I hope MEG (or any LI, really) turns out to be like that - not evil, but antagonistic in a totally non-annoying-Morriganwhycan'tyoulikeme?!?-way.  Ahem.

Elves are as tall as humans in DA2.

Or, some new elf society are as tall as humans. Not too sure. It was confirmed somewhere.
