I thought the Qunari mages were of both genders? Or do you mean only the female mages are meant to use their magic for things other than battle?
The Qunari in promo vid did not seemed to know any magic at all. So I would presume someone else put those glowy bits on his slave......perhaps a slave trader, to refrain them. And this slave trader was a mage.
Suddenly this sounds like 'Gladiator'.

I can just image Meg being an evil companion throughout the whole game and then when he's about to profess his love for you Flemeth throws a dagger through an Eluvian mirror (lol) and he gets stabbed in the back. Kinda like how Bellatrix killed Dobby
i can already picture the fangirls/boys now:P

I have not been through this entire epic thread, but the OP link sent me to a pic of the magazine with the PC on the front. Am I missing something? I sure didn't see the white haired guy. (Though I would *totally* romance Bioware's PC - he's hawt....)
Is there another link?
He is hot, no doubt about it.
Something that I noticed, the markings on his body are similar to the markings on two runestones that you give Alistair as gifts. I don't know if that means anything, just something that I noticed.

So would that scenario make me scream and curse and cry? Yes. But in a good way.

Humph.....(check Alistair's info on Dragon Age Wiki)
You mean the Black and White Runestone? You're right, MEG's tattoo is very close to the black runestone we gave to Alistair....
The stone was fround in the Deep Road...Huh...
Don't tell me he's another new breed of Darkspawn!

@nightcobra Yep, that would definitely be my reaction. Although the writer's have said (don't quote me on this) that they'd rather people be upset about a turn of events than to be neutral against it. They want you to feel STRONGLY about something - "HOLY **** YES" or "NOOOOOO!!!" is much better reactions than "...meh." And I agree with that, some of my favorite scenes from DA:O was when something didn't go the way I planned or when someone I romanced died. Oh I do love me some drama.
So would that scenario make me scream and curse and cry? Yes. But in a good way.
This. Like that situation with Connor and Isolde. I felt that having the option to go to the Circle cheapened a situation that could have been tragically beautiful. That being said, I'd rather not cry like a little girl by having one of my companions die, regardless of who, exactly, fell.
Or maybe I would. Who knows.

Exactly! I'm not for killing off all the major character and companions just to satisfy my unquenchable thirst for drama.
One thing that genuinely got me was when my warden and Alistair was up against the archdemon. I had kind of planned that I would sacrifice my warden, who was romancing Alistair, just to get a heart-wrenching text in the epilogue. You know, for sh*ts and giggles. Instead that SOB went and sacrifized himself. I was traumatized, at least for the rest of the evening.
Edit: Ugh, grammar.
