Don't get me started on Mass Effect. I am completely irrationally in love with Tali.

Leliana of course. She likes my female character and Morrigan doesn't go that way. Morrigan I don't care for, she reminds me of those Hollywood diva types. Stuck on herself.

Morrigan, much more involving, the Leliana romance is...childish? Feels like a teenage relationship almost. Morrigan well for a start the voice acting is better, and the romance more complicated, alot more compicated and involving.

Heh. I found the Leliana relationship to be far more what real adult relationships are like while the Morrigan relationship was more like a day time drama.

Sadly drama relationships are more fun than "real adult" relationships lol, especially since it plays with the characters emotions so much and ends up in a giant heart break

I agree. If someone wrote a story about two adults finding one another, easily falling in love, moving in, and spending the rest of their lives in contented bliss, the author would make no money. People enjoy ANGST and DRAMA in their entertainment.

Leliana is safe...but boring. Morrigan wins it, even though girls like her always lead to disaster.

This.

So bad, yet so good! (Especially the deal at the end.)

I just find Tali the most fascinating by far. Liara was way, WAY too immature, and whats-her-name was a fundie...no way

fundamentalist. she was all about God, in the freaky psychotic bad way, not the Leliana cute way.

That's the thing, by default it would be easier for good characters to choose Leliana, and bad characters to choose Morrigan, because they would then be more compatible with each other.

She was also a bit of an EXTREME racist don't forget that, and her backstory was drab and wasn't as harsh as any of Shepards backstory.  I really hated her, yet I always killed Kaiden even though I liked him.  Strange

Only true if "good" means "prefers chatting about religious nonsense and shoes".

Nah she didn't strike me as a racist really, she had some choice words for the leader of that humans first organization that I forget the name of. She was just not all concerned about being viewed as PC.

She just annoyed me because she'd always talk back whenever I recruited a character, and she talked back about my decisions so she seemed like a bit prejudiced to me

Also, Schmooples is awesome. Leliana asking for a nug pet and then naming it Schmooples is one of the few times I'd said to myself 'There's no way a man could have written this.'

Agreed
off post topic: I have my doubts about the chantry, I hope we get to fight them in expansion

Hmm, a whiny immature twit who leaves you in the end, or a hot redhead who is both cute and smart and whose bisexual tenancies might mean threesomes in the future?

...I'm sorry, why would you go with Morrigan again?

I like them both, really. I suppose it depends on what kind of character you're playing. Morrigan worked better for my Dalish Elf who was a sort of pragmatic, but by no means heartless; bit of a Neutral/Chaotic Neutral type, I suppose.

On the other hand, Leliana was perfect for my human mage who was an Andraste-following, Maker-loving bleeding heart. Her romance is certainly sappier, and I personally liked that. Morrigan's is a tad more complicated in some ways and has no real "happy" ending, but I still enjoyed it.

So, I guess what my ramblings mean is - which would fit your Warden better? Go with that one. Or play around with them both and then choose later. Whatever floats your boat.

Me, I just started laughing for several minutes. Even saying his name now makes me giggle.

Morrigan's romance is more dramatic.

Leliana's is more creepy - of the 'I watch you as you sleep and your eyes look like butterflies that I would eat' variety.

But Leliana does sing. I haven't romanced her yet, but you've got to love a girl with a good pair of lungs.

I just got the nug and haven't given it to her yet. That's almost stupidly adorable. Which... I guess best describes Leliana.

Oh come now. She doesn't want to eat your butterfly eyelashes, she wants to capture them and keep them in a jar.
