Okay but she seems to perfer sex with women. Like the isabella threesome for example, she gains +4 approval if you make it a girls only orgie (ie your warden is female when it happens) but if your warden is male she gains no approval.

Good for her. She prefers women and she shows it.

Does that ruin the game for you?

Edit: Anyway since I'm feeling nice tonight I will express an honest opinion as a bisexual female.  Some people have preferences for what makes them comfortable. Leliana has more previous experience with women and therefor more comfortable with women.

This is why I personally can't stand romancing her as a male.   But anyway... she is attracted to men... as she reminds you if your friends with her and you romance Alistair, and with that I shall now go barf.

I sometimes think of it like that. Like she has so much love built up inside her that she doesn't care who she shares it with, man/woman, human/elf. (At least thats what I usually tell people when they don't understand why Leliana is the bi and not Morrigan.) She's willing to snuggle with whatever she falls in love with of course.

The thing is I don't really know is how the male warden compares to the fem warden in Leliana's level of sexual attraction. The Lesbian side of Leliana just feels the most natural really, which is kinda unexpected for me.

And yet on the other hand you have to get her approval up to +50 or so before a lady can start a romance with her, while a guy warden can start it at any time by just feeding her the line that about her being beautiful and you can't imagine anyone else in the chantry being as good looking.

So that would suggest she likes guys more.

Well, that and the whole gang rape thing (no one's mentioned this???).  I'd imagine that could cause serious issues with getting romantically involved with men down the road... but she does seem to open up to a male warden fairly readily as well.

Exactly!  That's why I totally don't get the people who hate Leli!  She's one of the sweetest characters you meet, despite all the abuse she's suffered.  The fact that she isn't jaded after all that is kind of inspirational imo. 
All that aside though, I totally understand why she'd be more attracted to girls.  Guys are gross.

Physical Attraction? She might like women more, because women are generally softer then men when it comes to bodies, and she likes soft things.



Trust? She probably trusts men more after she was screwed over by a certain mentor.

So in essence, as far as looks go, she might like women better, but as far as trust goes, she can trust men easier, and ultimately, its all about who you are that makes her decide. It doesn't matter how hot your FemWarden is, if she turns out to be a total **** who disses the Maker and pisses on the ashes, Leliana is gonna kill you And if you are the ridiculously noble chivalrous knight, Leliana will love you. Speaking as a sort of bisexual person (pansexual is more accurate), I think Leliana's portrayal is about right. Bisexuality does not mean equal attraction to men and women. Attraction is complex and does not always conform to such limiting terms. In actuality, many bisexual individuals have a preference for one gender over the other. At times this preference is so slight as to barely be noticeable, but there are people out there with skewed preferences. Anyone interested in this subject should read the works of Alfred Kinsey, or at least look up the famous sexuality scale that bears his name.



All that said, I did feel Leliana had a preference for women, but it did not come across as so severe that I cannot see her in a loving relationship with a man.

Not true at all.  There is no difference in approval between male and female wardens here.  You get no approval from Leliana if it's a foursome, though you get a huge jump from Zevran and the dialog suggests that Leliana enjoyed it.

Edit: Oghren's comments do only go to a female warden.

So Leliana's bisexual because she's suck a loving person that she chooses to be attracted to both genders? 

I don't think there's anything to explain about why Leliana is bisexual and Morrigan is not. Morrigan is not attracted to females and Leliana is. It could very easily be the other way around without really changing the characters at all.

Well, if people are claiming that they hate Leliana because she's a horrid **** then I can see why you might get confused if you find her so sweet but I don't see why it's confusing that some people don't like her. You're never going to have someone (fictional or real) that is universally appealing.

Yes it's true. You do get +4 approval if you play as a female and do the threesome (which you don't as a male). There's no extra approval if it's a foursome.
