Not true at all.  There is no difference in approval between male and female wardens here.  You get no approval from Leliana if it's a foursome, though you get a huge jump from Zevran and the dialog suggests that Leliana enjoyed it.

Edit: Oghren's comments do only go to a female warden.

Yes it's true. You do get +4 approval if you play as a female and do the threesome (which you don't as a male). There's no extra approval if it's a foursome.

Males absolutely should get the approval.  It's not differentiated by gender there.

I think I actually have a male save there -- but how it looks in the toolset, males should get it.

Second edit: And to make it absolutely clear, males getting the approval there is NOT a bug.  There is NOTHING there indicating that only females should get approval, so both getting the approval is working exactly as intended.

And yet on the other hand you have to get her approval up to +50 or so before a lady can start a romance with her, while a guy warden can start it at any time by just feeding her the line that about her being beautiful and you can't imagine anyone else in the chantry being as good looking.

So that would suggest she likes guys more.

How does that prove she likes men more? There are social limitations to s/s love in Fereleden, as there are in real life.  Leliana simply waits for a proper moment to make a move on the female warden.  

The fact that she makes a subtle move(and the first move that starts the romance) on the fem warden proves she favors ladies.

Second, it makes perfect sense for the fem romance to take a while to start since she's the one who suggests it. Normally, one doesn't assume that a person is bisexual until you get to know them better.

She may accept the male flirting at low approval, but if the male doesn't even flirt, the romance could take forever to start. With the fem warden you have to turn her down at +25 approval for the romance to not start.

That's possible, or they did the foursome.  The approval, however, is definitely there.

I gotta agree with you.

Leliana likes both women and men. So what's the big effin deal?
Does it really matter if Leliana likes women more than men or the other way around?
And what is everyone trying to prove with that Leliana likes women more than men or the other way around? That males or females shouldn't get to romance her?

I just don't get these arguments... They're confusing, because there isn't any real point in them (unless someone manages to explain the purpose of these discussions).

I don't think people really say that Leliana likes males better than females. The consensus seems to be that she's more comfortable with females (possibly because of the maybe-rape backstory and the fact we don't know of any long-term male relationships like she had female ones?) but not that she's not interested in the Warden of either gender or that certain people shouldn't romance her.

Well, speaking about Zevran, I like his line where he says he prefers women if given the choice. Mostly for vanity's sake on behalf of my femWarden. But little details like that also make a character more concrete. It makes sense based on Leliana's history that she'd be more into the chicks. Shouldn't really put a male Warden off, though. If anything I would think it would be flattering that she'd go against her natural predilection because the Warden is just that yummy.
