Hey everyone,

So I'm replaying ME1 and I just remembered they made DLC for it! Ha! I am playing on the PC now, my first time with the game was on a 360 with no internet connection. I just finished the last main quest area (Noveria) and was betrayed by Udina and am currently stuck on the Citadel. My questions...

1. Am I too far into the game to activate this content? Would I have to wait until another playthrough?

2. Does anything from Pinnacle Station or Bring Down The Sky get flagged for transfer to ME2?

3. Are they any good?

Thanks in advance.

1. Nope, you can still play it. Ilos is the point of no return. As long as you don't go there, you're fine.

2. Afaik Pinnacle Station has no flag for ME2. Bring down the Sky has but it's only a Mail from the rescued hostages IF you rescued them that is :D

3. BDtS is good and fun to play because it follows a story. PS on the other hand is only a timed shooting gallery. But if you like such things, you will have fun I think.

Ah, well I think I'll pass then and save that money for ME2 down the line. Thanks for the info!

There is a news report on the MA2 disc if you complete Pinnacle Station, but it never plays.

I have been playing ME:1 (PC) again and I just got the Bring Down the Sky content from a link on these forums. Problem is, the content won't install. It keeps saying that it can't find the game and suggest that I reinstall it. I just finished Noveria and logged out to look up this DLC, so it is most certainly installed and playable.

Any ideas?

The only thing good about Pinnacle Station is that you get additional experience points from every match, and you can increase your overall level. This helps further down the line because the difference in XP in levels 55-60 are utterly ridiculous.

Pinnacle Station is fun for people who like to run around and kill things. If you prefer a more stealthy approach to combat, then less so, as you are timed in most of the matches and have to kill fast and often.

BDTS is good. It's a bit short, though fun while it lasted. If you can only have one of the two, I'd go with this, as it's the only one with an actual plot to it.

The disappointing thing is that neither dlc gives any unique rewards for completing them. Everything can be found in the main game, though certain pieces of end-game equipment are much easier to get with the dlc, in particular, the savant omni-tools and biotic mods, as well as colossus and predator x armor.

I know there has been a lot of posts on this topic, but all of the ones I've seen so far have not mentioned my current situation and so I hope this post will help me find the answers I'm seeking.....I got Mass Effect from Steam and in the Mass Effect purchase it included Bring Down the Sky as a free DLC, I've now played through a bit of the game picked up Liara and done a lot of the side missions then looked to do the Bring Down the Sky DLC before going on to Noveria or Feros and it's not showing up in the Exodus Cluster and I was wondering if I'm missing something or that I've done to much of the game and lost access to the DLC and need to re start or to contact Steam and EA and ask for assistance.

Thanks

As far as I know the steam version (which I have) doesn't include BDTS. Edit - just checked the store page which says it is included, but I have my doubts. Have you checked the 'downloadable content' section on the game options/extras menu?

BDTS is free but a bit hard to get hold of. After looking through the steam ME forum I found that you have to download the installer from the now dead page and then hrough a live chat with EA support ask for a product validation key.

Pinnacle station has to be bought through origin.

I know that ME3 is all the rage now and ME1 is old news but for continuity and completeness sake I am looking to purchase the two ME1 DLCs Pinnacle Station and Bringing Down the Sky but alas if they were once upon a time on this site they are no longer here. Can anyone point me to where I can buy and download those two DLCs?

You can buy Pinnacle Station directly through EA Origin for $5. You'll have to download the Origin client to be able to install it.

BDtS is free for PC. Here is a thread with download and install instructions - http://social.biowar...18640/1#9618640
