Yesterday i updated my mod with a small bik video as intro.
Configuring the cutscene was not that big a deal and then i exported it all.
the ingame test on my computer was successful and i thought i could just package that and send it to a friend for comments.

But he installed it without error and then no intro and no textures or models at all.
I tried to find a solution redid the package many times always the same outcome.

Then i deactived the cutscene and deleted the .cut file as well as any reference to it.
Now everything works fine, the package installs without errors as before but the module is playable, without my intro video apparently.

What do i have to do to get that bik file played when installing the dazip?
Did i miss some simple but essencial step?
Please help

Is the .bik file in the packege or in your core(or module)\\override\\?

it was in the package.

If i use the bik in the cutscene where would i have to put it that the game finds it?

I'll try the override folders and just the cut file in the package hopefully that works

------------------------------------------------------
Edit:
if i package the mod and copy the bik file into the module\\data or core\\data folder of the same name it works.
i also was able to edit the dazip and add the bik file into the module\\data folder and it works as well.
*solved*

That's really good news for everyone.

In general, putting content in packages override is bad news for compatibility.

If you can't find specific guidance for a particular resource type, a good rule-of-thumb is to put everything in module override (try core override if that doesn't work).
