A rogue can reach 100% spell resistance with sufficient dweomer runes, which would make it no contest.
I thought resistances stopped at 75% ? Or are those just elemental resistances?

Purely physical fight, with no magic or bard skills attached, I give the edge to Leliana. She's had to learn how to fight unarmed no doubt, and I think she's learnt plenty of clean fighting tricks to use. Also, I tend to picture her as stronger than Morrigan, but not by much. Morrigan always seemed more lithe and slender to me, she never struck me as very strong physically.
Not to mention that carmel pudding wrestling gives Leliana a bit more experience.

In truth though Morrigan had better have distance if Leliana got close enough to sticky sticky stabby stabby Morrigan would be over.
I would have to say though i would buy a ticket to watch that fight god damn how hot would that be? Smokin!

Morrigan, totally. Even without magic. I mean, she's a shapershifter. I'd imagine that during her time spent as an animal, she probably learned a thing or two about fighting. And she is way more ruthless, too.
That's not true Leliana was (supposedly...) in love with my PC and she and Full of Wynne went ballistic and tried to murder the PC and Alistair in cold blood at the end of the sacred ashes quest (that and the Dales is kind of why I hate the Chantry...).
lol I should have known that something bad was gonna happen when Alistair said "Now you've done it".
The worst that Morrigan ever did is call the PC a "fool" storm out of the room and leave in animal form.
Also check out the catfight banter between Leliana VS Morrigan Leliana is the one that threatens to use lethal force.

Yeah I love the cat fight dialouges. Espically when your in a realtionship with both Leliana and Morrigan. Leliana usually seems to get the most angry, I wonder if Leliana is trying to hide the fact she has a temper.

And then pulls an Uzi out of her ass.DWSmiley wrote...
So Leliana coats her dweomer-laden daggers with magebane (and while she's at it, every other poison in the book) and stocks up on fire grenades. No contest back atcha.
Mages can get Poison skill, too.

Yes, but Morrigan has no melee talents and would lose a knife fight. With all the boosts dw rogues can get from gear, plus stealth and stuns, they should win a one-on-one fight vs. any creature or character in the game, imo. A fight between naked Morrigan and Leliana would be more interesting.

Indeed, anything is fair game in the speculation! In a fight between the two of them, each as powerful as possible, Leliana can't lose - 100% spell resistance and defense high enough to be unhittable. As Ryzaki says, Morrigan probably can't complete a shapeshift without getting interrupted. Even if they start far enough apart to let Morrigian shift, I doubt the shape's special attacks could do enough damage before her mana ran out. She could be almost invulnerable herself with shimmering shield but again, only while she has the mana for it. When her mana runs out, it's game over.Addai67 wrote...
Not if she's an arcane warrior or can shapeshift. But if people are going to talk about Leliana's anti-mage gear out the wazoo, then anything is fair game in the speculation.
But in, say, a fight between the two of them as they are when they first join the Warden, I expect Morrigan wins.

You forget how long it takes to shape-shift? Morrigan would be dead before she was half-finished.
Not if Morrigan shapeshifted elsewhere first, then ran up and attacked leliana before she could even nock an arrow.
Plus, Morrigan could get off a paralyze spell before leliana could do anything. And then drop misdirection, death hex, and curse of mortality on her and then just blast away at her leisure.
