Batarian Squadmate for ME3

I'm fine with it as long as he shows disappointment with the infamous actions of some of his species. Which reminds me, I really want to go after Balak and finish what we started at Terra Nova because I just couldn't sacrifice innocents to kill him, and help Zaeed locate and kill Vido Santiago. Both WITHOUT innocents being involved to complicate matters.

    Racist much:blink:. Kidding, but not all the Batarians are hateable some I honestly felt sorry for in ME2.

Every and any squadmember can be a good addition to the plot, team, character development -- if done properly.

Their society seem to go to great lengths to justify slavery and acts of terrorism.

If there is a genuine resistance movement within batarian society to join civilized and lawful galaxy, then yeah, I can see it but thus far roughly 99% of the batarians we've encountered in this game have been involved in an act of genocide, murder, slavery, terrorism, etc.

With exceedingly rare exception, I cross paths with a batarian..... they're dead and most likely they're have drawn and fired on me first at any rate.

People have been wishing for this since they saw that leaked photo of a batarian in blue suns armor smoking a cigarette. I say why not? I'm just hoping for some twist on the appearence like blue eyes or a female batarian.

I'm all for a possibility to skip his recruitment if the player/Shepard doesn't want to have a batarian.

I hope bioware is following this and keeping tabs on how many are for and how many against.

Personally, I think it would be an interesting twist to ME:3 to have a possible Batarian for a SM. However, as my character is concerned, the Batarian would likely be considered a spy and denied acceptance.

I don't think in the face of Galatic anhilation that Shepard would be too concerned about some slavers/pirates/miscreants keeping tabs on him.  But that's my opinion.

Thing is, this sets up the best and most complete species-specific story arc.  

Here are the Batarians, whom we've conditioned you to hate for two games -- some 60 hours of gameplay where the message has always been, "Batarians bad!"  And now Batarian redemption in ME3.  I personally think it would be awesome.

Zaeed should be a part of the post-recruitment conversation in the comm room.  And he should repeat himself verbatim to Shephard.  'Cause he's like an awesome senile psycopath.

Let's see can anyone say escape from Batarian prison involved? Think about it maybe they're openly resistant to the Batarian gov. and stuck him in jail and eventually arrest Shepard.

Under "normal" conditions, I would have to agree with you.  Still, I RP my Shep in a way that she is completely obsessed with a desire for vengence because of her childhood.  With her actions on Torfan, my Shep is convinced that the Batarians are watching her and trying to find a way to kill her off.  It makes the story of the game more interesting to play if you character has instability issues....
