I can't believe this BS! What the hell happened to the mature posters SC2 had when facing other opposition? I supported SC2 all the way but when people start this stupid crap it just pisses me off. Alright, I am now going to vote for ME2 for this reason. I wasn't going to vote for either game, because they are my 2 most favorite games, but come on.... Really?! Ugh... It's people like that that make me lose faith in humanity time and time again.

Exactly how I'm feeling right now. 95% of the SC2 fans were mature in the earlier matchups now it's just like 45%.

Nope, that will be decided by video game reviewers and journalists, not by players. If it were by players, it becomes, "Which is the most popular", which is not the point of Game of the Year.

ME2 would never win, "Most Popular". Which is why it might lose to SC2 here.

Never forget the following line-

It can damn sure win Game of the Year, because GotY should be based on the quality of the game, not the quantity of people voting for it.

You'd think players of a real-time strategy game, which requires careful planning, quick thinking, and an overall significant amount of brainpower, would at least be able to comment intelligently.

Unfortunately, there is no correlation between the ability to hotkey and tact.  However, the higher the emotional investment in a certain outcome, the higher the probability of putting one's foot in his mouth.  People do stupid things when they're psyched for victory, myself included.

However, I think those comments have turned me off from multiplayer forever.  Oh well.  At least I like SC2's single-player campaign enough to want to buy the expansions.  I can still be a fan without, you know, being one of those fans.

Signed up and voted for ME2, if for no reason other than Shepard gets more chicks than Jimmy.

This was his logic: SC2 is "Korea's national sport", and since Asians are "smarter than everyone else", American and European Starcraft 2 players are naturally smarter than everyone else.

I think anyone who is a fan of bioware work will support games made by bioware as the more revenue bioware makes the more they have to spend on new content in our favorite games.
