Probably not many. It's easy to slam a game you haven't played.

It also depends on what some people prefer. I played the single campaign only once to see the story, then I pressed uninstall
RTS games aren't really my thing, and I stink also

I was disapointed by SC2. I did the storyline once and never re-opened the game. They lost me on a very superficial thing : The graphics. Good gameplay or not, i hate puffy-the-clown graphics that use the full spectrum of rainbow colors. It's so joyfull and plastic that my eyes are bleeding when i look at it too long. The original version was better imo. More raunchy and badass.

I still play SC2 all the time, the multiplayer does get pretty repetitive at times, same builds ad naseum.
Its a great game, and a contender to be sure, but its literally only got multiplayer going for it, and honestly, Multiplayer, while all and good, does not make a game of the year, not by a long shot.

I'm not voting. Too lazy and I don't think Mass Effect 2 is anywhere near a GoTY candidate. Sorry...
While I disagree with your opinion, your certainly welcome to have it, just out of curiosity, what would your pick for GOTY be?
AC:B is still a viable contender IMHO. (Though I would and did pick ME2 over it.)

Heh, good question. I didn't really like this year when it comes to games. If I had to pick one game that would be my personal GoTY, it would be Bayonetta. Sure it's cheesy but the gameplay was a lot of fun.

To be honest, and this is coming from the gamer in me, and not the ME fan, I would honestly give GoTY to ME2.
The quality of the music, gameplay, story, atmosphere, and all its other elements made it better than any other game I've played this year, and that's counting popular games like Black Ops, Brotherhood, etc etc.

I loved SC2's multiplayer, but it's story quality was inferior to it's predecessor.
The thing is, you just can't compare the two things because the main thing about Starcraft 2 is the multiplayer feature. The campaing adds a nice touch and it's fun to play but the game is focused towards 1v1 gameplay.
I love both games. I'm a huge Mass Effect fan and I started playing SC2 a month ago, mostly because of my bf. My opinion is that this contest is not legit at all. They don't even reveal the final % because they want you to watch their show.
In fact, g4 TV is quite lolworthy.
It's a game of the year award, it's supposed to pit every game against eachother, no matter the genre. And of course G4 wants you to tune in to watch the results. They're a company. They don't reveal the winners of the Oscars until they make you watch it on TV either. It doesn't make it any less "legit." I think G4 has been going about the voting the right way, randomly pairing games in each round and making it one person one vote.

Who the hell is Husky? And why do all the SC2 fans keep mentioning him?
Husky is a youtuber who does sport-like commentaries on SC2 games.
He has thousands of viewers who'll do whatever he says.
He tells them to vote for something. They vote.
And because of this, SC2 has defeated Reach and ACB, when in both cases, SC2 would've lost.
Now ME2 is next in line for the Husky horde to attempt to overcome.

Starcraft 2 is a far better game than either Reach OR Brotherhood, thats why it won. And "Husky's Horde" are Starcraft players who would vote for their game whether he said so or not. The only contribution Husky makes to the vote is to inform the thousands of Starcraft players that the vote even exists.
And to be fair, I think its a testament to the quality of Starcrafts community that it can so easily be mobilised and that it has people like Husky (and there are more commentators than just him) get to the point where they can have so many subscribers.
