The title says it all really.
Could the carosel be updated to always remember if you paused it? Currently whenever I return to or refresh the home page it starts rotating again. After the first run through it is of no use to me until the information changes again and I assume that's not going to happen less than daily.
I don't want to ad-block it, since presumably it is intended to contain news however this is currently my only option to stop it.

Very good idea. The carousel is informative and it does look good, but it gets rather distracting after a while.

Well I held out as long as I could but it is now ad-blocked. Please let me know if/when it is safe to unblock it.

The flash code doesn't currently have a way to start paused - we'll have to get a new build of it before we can make the site be smart with it. :/
An alternative is to bookmark one of the other activity feeds on the site ("my network", or "home -> dabuilders") - they don't have the carousel, and have a bit of other useful info.

I have seen some that scroll each add only once, then returns to the first. After that you must click through them to see each one.
Would that be an option?
Personally It doesn't bother me, but I can see how it could be annoying to others with blood shot eyes at 3:00 am after they dribbled their coffee down their chin because they were focusing on BT1 and forgot to swallow.
