I find it very annoying that every time I fight a dragon, its wing buffet knocks a few members of my party to the corners of the room. Is there any way to not be knocked back by wing buffet?

If you polymorph the dragon to a squirrel, you will no longer be knocked back off the screen.

Afaik, in a un-modded game there's no way to protect yourself from it.
With Item Revisions installed the Dragon Scale Shield grants immunity to wing buffet and similar effects (Telekinesis, Smite HLA, etc.). Spell Revisions adds a 1st lvl druid spell, Strength of Stone, which grants the same immunity.
Some other mods may add similar items/spells, I don't know.

I don't know which spell did it, but I'm pretty sure that my mage is immune to wing buffets. Could it be Stoneskin? 
It's kind of difficult to say which buff made him suffer 10 damage when he tried to push me back.
Yes, I did use mods, Fixpack most notably. But nowhere did I read "This will allow spell X to protect you from Wing Buffet effects."

Yeah, I believe dragon spell-like abilities (breath and buffet) somehow ended up marked as magic attack (beholder's antimagic rays too, fwiw), so they get blocked by spell shield. The fixpack generally doesn't make changes to spell types, because there would be too many changes and it could potentially change gameplay quite a bit.
Some of the larger polymorph forms (maybe the iron golem or the greater elementals?) might be immune to the buffet (there's a list in hardcode for animations that bypass the effect, like dragons and the giants in ToB IIRC).

Sounds like polymorphing it to a squirrel might be the right way to go. What spell would I use to do this and is it affected by saving throws/magic resistance?
Do dragons lose any other abilities while they're in the shape of a squirrel? Or are they just as deadly except for the wing buffet?
