If I don't wish to go through the steps helpfully submitted above will this problem resolve itself when the servers are available again? Or is my game nuked?
If you're connected to Xbox Live and the DA servers are available, then the game should be able to authorize your DLC. Without following the described steps, however, you will not have offline licenses on your box, so those two conditions will be required for you to play the game. I'm not sure how stable the servers have been recently, but back at launch I wouldn't have wanted to to bet that DA server availability would coincide with my available play time.

I agree with you 100% it's the same problem I'm havingshayborg wrote...
I would love to go through the (very helpful!) steps at the start of this topic but the servers have been temporarily unavailable for at least 12 hours. I'm almost exclusively a console gamer, so getting locked out of a game because the developers' server is down is a new experience for me. It is unbelievably frustrating.

How does this help people who can't log into the server at all?
Until you are able to log in, it does'nt help at all. Unless there is something wrong on your end you should be able to log in soon though, the servers usually dont stay down for long. Matter of fact the of the entire 150+ hours I have logged in Origins, the servers were really only down one time.
I assume the servers are down today? I havent played Origins in about 2 weeks. Keep trying and if you need any other help or anything then please come back and post here or PM me. I'd be happy to help in any way I can.

I'll post back in another 10 hours cause I'm feeling pretty confident they still won't be up.

I'm happy to report that the servers are still unavailable. There's another 8 hours. Keep up the good work!
Damn Darkonos, I'm really sorry to hear that. I dont know what the hell is going on right now. I dont think I can load mine up to see if it happens to me without getting the new patch and I dont want that yet (if ever).
To anyone reading this topic, are you currently having this problem as well?

This post has a solution to fix the problem but it doesn't help at all when you don't have connectivity to the server to re-download the DLC.
You are absolutely correct. The best you can do is be prepared to fix it immediately when the servers come back.

Unfortunately, this fix can only be applied when the DA servers can be reached. That's what I meant when I said it makes for a frustrating user experience. In order to ensure that you can play when the DA servers aren't available, you need to do something obscure when the DA servers are available. You have to fix the problem before you know that it's a problem, which means that most people are just going to get a rude surprise when they try to play when the DA servers are unreachable.
Not quoting to be annoying, just highlighting that it's the same problem now as it was at launch. I wasn't able to play the game for more than about six hours total during the first week because (a) I didn't realize that I could fix this problem by re-downloading and (

This is ridiculous. I had part of the DLC (Warden's Keep, Blood Dragon Armor, and Stone Prisoner) on an old xbox that died. Got a new xbox, downloaded the DLC again and can no longer play the game offline. I went through the steps listed at the beginning of this post (three times, actually, one of which was with a xbox rep on the phone) and it still doesn't work. What's the point in buying a single player game if you can't play the effing thing offline?? I transferred the damned licenses to the new xbox, to no avail - the DLC still shows as corrupt. GRRRR!
Hmm, I'm retarded and did'nt read your entire post. I assumed you did'nt have the rights transfered. I am stumped on this. This process worked like a charm for me so I have no idea what could be wrong.
Possibly Switzki will check back in and have an idea of whats going on.

Does this also work with normal DLC? I'm having a similar problem because I recently got a new X-Box 360 (old one was murdered by the red ring) and now all the DLC I got on my old 360 refuses to work on my new one unless I'm connected to the internet. I'm not willing to delete the DLC I have unless I get some sort of conformation that Bioware's not going to try and make me pay for it all again when it's their screwy system that's at fault.

This thread might be just what you need, I did it and have'nt had a problem since. 1 thing to keep in mind though, if you bought a new XBOX instead of having Microsoft "fix" yours you will need to transfer the DLC "licenses" to the new system, you may have already done this. If not, this link takes you directly to the licenses portion of XBOX.com.
