Can I say how much total bull**** this is? I wasn't really feeling DA:O when it first came out, but I've been in a mood to finish it lately. For the past month I've been able to play it ONE night! One night! I bought the over-priced CE to get a game I can basically only play when EA feels like letting me connect to their servers? I feel so ripped off I'd honestly rather have a refund than the game at this point.

Also having this ridiculous problem. I bought the DA Awakenings retail disc so I don't even have access to items from the first game like Embril's Many Pockets, and yet I still can't play my game. The server has been down all day and I'm hoping to try the workaround tonight. This is terrible, though. A game ending bug has been let linger for months it looks like and no one can be bothered to even make sure the server stays up 50% of the time.

I have the same problem but with an interesting twist. I don't own, nor have ever downloaded or bought any DLC, yet I find the same error message haunting my screen. Has anyone else encountered this, or am I the last living soul who hasn't succumbed to the DLC fever?

Bumping, because I just now encountered it AGAIN. I thought I was done with this! I haven't played DA for months, but I tried to load it up again--and it says I don't have "The Edge". Yeesh...

Also, I don't ever recall downloading or even having "The Edge"---anyone know what file/pack it's in?  It doesn't show up in my 360 download history either, while Embri's pockets, Memory ring etc do.

Alright, I'm gonna give this one last try, and then I'm just going to delete everything off my hard drive, feed the disc to my garbage disposal, and never put down money for a Bioware game again.  I've deleted and re-downloaded everything in my Dragon Age memory file ten times over, through the in-game content manager and through the Marketplace, and I still can't play without an internet connection.  There seems to be no variation of content that I haven't tried; I've cleared my save games, even, so that's about 60 hours down the drain, and still nothing.  I've scourged my hard drive clean as a baby's fresh bottom and built from the ground up and it still doesn't work.  According to the permissions list on this site, the only DLC items I'm entitled to are Blood Dragon Armor and Stone Prisoner, with the rest (Ostagar and Warden's Keep) not even showing up.  My patience is frayed, here.

The OP said I might have to try and redownload several times, but this is ridiculous.  Does anybody have any final ideas?  Or should I just go ahead and drop the hammer?
