call it a hunch but i think im on to something here.

Alright here's my evidence

We need a sexy Female LI

we need A mage

We Know we will already be visiting her clan to see the keeper and will most likely run into her as well

That is all but something in my gut tells me im right

And also a theme that Seems to  be coming in to Dragon age is ancient Elven lore,
Maybe Hawkes glove is some sort of Elven artifact?

If the next (and possibly last) Mage they reveal is a female Elf I will eat my rather glorious hat. I would much rather they brought back Finn. Or Ariane (not a Mage but fits the Dalish bit).

Hm she'd probably get an overhault then. But I didn't find her interesting. Then rather Keeper Lanarya (spelling?).

And I don't care if people eat their hats because she is a female elf mage.

I don't think Merill can just walk off though, she's the Keeper's apprentice of the Dalish Origin's clan. She's like a grad student. Complete slave: mind, body and soul.

I guess she'd be a better candidate than Lanaya - Hawke's visiting Marethari's clan, after all, not Zathrian's.

I suppose it's possible. But I don't know why Merril would leave her clan. The current keeper was pretty old and Merril seemed to be the only one with training. She may even be the keeper by the time Hawke runs in to the clan. It would take something pretty major to compel her to walk away from her responsibilities.

If Hawke ends up visiting anything, expect something major to happen.

I agree with Apollo. If any dalish female elf were to be a companion from Origins, I'd want it to be Ariane.

How do you people know that Hawke visits her clan anyway, if this keeps going I'll know the whole DA2 story even before March.

I prefer the to think the dalish warden is banging her right now and that in the future she'll used her keeper magic to birth a bloodline of taint proof elves.  It's practically canon now that I've mention it.  Yes, it's canon.

I don't think she'll be a companion, she's probably quite busy as Keeper's apprentice. And I'm sure the BioWare writing team have enough ideas running around their heads that they won't want to add more characters from Origins.



A cameo would be excellent, though. I'd love a mention of my Dalish from her or Marethari, and I'd like to see enough Origins characters so I can compare their new looks with their old ones.

Hm, we have already had a Dalish mage and two other female mages as companions, could a male one to stand next to Anders.
