I agreed with the mining part and the loading screens. The muliplayer I'm bipartian on and well the vehical as well, but the combat. I don't agree with space combat. I'm seriously not for that at all. If they put in space combat. I'll kill some monkey's at a zoo. You will see my face on CNN for running into a zoo and hearing how a local man went crazy because apparently his favorite game added space combat and how it really sucked. I don't mind them testing it with a DLC, but thats it. Keep space combat out of my ME world.

I can't really endorse anything they said. Some stuff I superficially agree with, but their reasons and solutions for things are remedial at best. No interesting analysis whatsoever.

I just came here to post this myself. I agree with a lot of this article but anyone who has been participating in these forums long enough has heard it all before. Personally, I just get really excited anytime I see the title "Mass Effect 3".

Generally, I agree with many of the topics brought up. (Vehicles, Linear gameplay) However, I totally agree with No Multiplayer. At best it would be a superfluous addition. In this case Bioware needs not to follow "popular" trends in the gaming industry. Personally, I think MP is and will hurt the gaming industry in it's attempts to be a credible entertainment medium since they are more concerned with MP instead of telling good stories through their games. (there are exceptions)

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate MP, I just hate what appears to be popular in MP. (basically running and gunning and whining about campers)

Did you miss the giant "Dont Want" letters they wrote right over multiplayer? :innocent:

Yeah. I read the paragraph and it wasn't clear on their stance. The banner above it didn't load the first time around.

I agree with their list entirely, with the sole exception being space combat. Aye, I am aware this will not be a popular opinion due to the immense yearning people have to use the Normandy in space action. The forum is riddled with it. Nevertheless, we must approach the necessary requirements for such to be available. Primarily, this would regulate an entire portion of the ME team to develop a whole new mechanic that would see relatively minimal use. I cannot imagine we would have a long interval battling with the Normandy and the trade off in having to dedicate people to this would hinder more pressing options such as the story or characters.

Of course, this is only my opinion. You are free to disagree, as I imagine most of you will. :P

Have to disagree with space combat. Shepard is the hero in this war, not Joker (even if he is awesome). I have other reasons for disliking space combat in ME3, I'll add them later if I feel the need to.

I disagree with space combat, and I don't want to be forced to play a stealthy character because I'm a good guy. And I definitely do not want to return to ME1 style inventory, where each type of weapon was EXACTLY THE SAME except for stats. I would like a combination of the ME1 and 2 styles, where there's less loot but the weapon types are varied within themselves (ie there are types of AR's like the Avenger, and the Vindicator, and the Mattock) with differing stats. Also, armor can stay exactly how it is in ME2

OMG WTF are they smoking!?
Fly the Normandy space-sim style!?
/facepalm

I really hope nobody pays attention to that "want" list. I don't want or need loot, and I don't want any vehicle sections (BW has repeatedly proven that they just aren't any good at them). The only thing on that list that I agree with is divergence.

Yeah, quite a few folks are actually agreeing with that list.

Pretty much agree with everything mentioned except the space combat and multiplayer. But a segment in which you had to command a fleet with decisions that would affect the plot later on would be good. I most definitely agree with the starting from scratch, non-linear combat sequence, and the gameplay divergence parts.

Its funny how it says above the multiplayer section THINGS WE ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WANT and yet people are still interpreting it as 'do want'.

I agree with what IGN wrote, with some exceptions:

I'm part of the 2% of players who liked mining, but I understand that it can become really tedious (especially before the patch wich improved it).

I don't really care much about space battles, as long as they're better than what we see in Kotor 1.

Loading screens were brief in my opinion, so I don't mind.

I don't trust or agree with most of what shows up on IGN editorials, and this is no exception.

Best part was complaining about linear combat. Even money says those writers played a soldier on novice difficulty.

Playing a Vanguard on Insanity was one of the most dynamic and rewarding combat experiences I can remember in a game. Bioware crushed it with ME2. Go play Fallout3 (Game of the Year) and Borderlands (Game of the Year) and tell me with a straight face that ME2 has boring, linear combat.

Bah, garbage article.

Also you can't trust IGN.
They support flame wars, their CoD BO is just hypocritical since that review can be slapped MW2( mostly), pro-Halo, graphic wh*res, encouraging noobtubing and glitching...

Yes. No cheap "story" reasons to him dumb down, just make him start at level 1 if you want no matter where I was at the end of ME2, I dont care. Leveling and gaining skills are mostly a gameplay element, not part of the story and character. He doesnt think "sweet I got 1000xp and gained level, now I can get another point to singularity and then  I will be invincible" if you get my point. It is there for us, to make us build our character the way we want in that particular game.
