i found one i would like to use but since i don't own ME for pc can i use it?
is there any way to use mass effect save games without having mass effect 1?

Just a tip, if you want to be able to have a save with some of your own decisions but not play thru ME1 download Gibs save editor

Make a new game, save it and load it into the save editor. You can change plot flags from ME1 under the plot tab but these changes will not take effect until you import it into a new game. To import you new decisions into a new game go to the raw tab. Scroll down to plot and change end game state to LivedToFightAgain. Save over your old save. Now go back into mass effect and click import ME2 character. Your edited save should appear there and any changes you made will be in effect in this game.
Can’t guarante it will be ok for ME3 tho.
