And i disagree she was mentally a woman
Are you one of those guy gamers who just can't like Shale if she's a girl? I remember them... lol... it was funny how they refused to think she was a woman at first.
She WAS a female.
She became a sexless Golemn.
Then she COULD become a female agian.
And she WAS mentally a woman. Because she WAS mentally a woman.
What? when did i ever imply that?
and yes she WAS female, Past tense meaning no longer currently while it was in the party. and how could it be mentally a woman if it had no memory of it's past life? All it knew was it's a golemn and had a master who it killed.
You implied it when you refused to acknowledge she had a somewhat feminine personality. Which she does. From flirting with Sten to MORRIGAN SAYING THERE WAS A WOMAN INSIDE OF HER.
Shale was Predominantly a Golemn and don't consider he a female party member as i don't consider the dog a male party member because they don't show any Gender specific character traits.
She did act Feminine. Just because you didn't pick up on something doesn't mean it wasn't there. Players picked up on it, Morrigan picked up on it, and the writers modeled her after a femenine personality.
How would you feel towards having mostly female companions

That said, it would be unrealistic to have an all female party, IMO.
I'd like there to be women, though . . . preferably ones I find more attractive than Isa or Ave.

That was not good wording, Im saying shale didn't say anything to go along with it's alleged female mentality.
Shale was a Golemn and never saw it as anything but a golemn

I'm hoping that's not the case. The only female companion in DAO I could stand after a few play throughs was Shale, the others' somewhat extreme personnalities got on my nerves once the novelty wore off. Unless DA2 does a better job with the wimminz I'm hoping we can have a sausage-fest party, less drama.
For some reason, I'm perfectly happy getting goofy with Alistair or avoiding arguments with Sten, but my patience evaporates instantly when it's Morrigan or Leliana. This is probably unreasonable, but that's the way it is.
For me, the measure of a game is how absorbed in the game I can become. Suspension of disbelief is crucial. When I see female characters behaving like charicatures of women, reality returns with a rush and immersion shatters. Instead of thinking "Oh, Zevran, what did they do to you?" I start thinking "Shoes? Why in the nine hells would somebody give a computer game character such a trite obsession?"
So yeah, I wouldn't mind a bit if all of the companions were male... but so far, they have only announced one who isn't a blood relation in a red shirt. Smexy Meg doesn't count. For all we know, he's one of the villains we'll have to face.
Bioware writers are capable of creating some great ladies, though. Dynaheir in BG1 with her "For the right! And I always am!" makes me smile every time, and I really do adore Mazzy, height fixation and all. Since then, though, there haven't been a lot of ladies I liked, apart from a certain deep voiced one with very heavy footsteps and an aversion to pigeons. I'm hoping for the best.

Find what hard to believe? That the writers modeled her after a femenine personality? They say she was based off a 'Sassy black woman' in this http://www.bitmob.co...nd-games-as-art. Other people pegged her as a woman from the get-go, both in and out of game, and she was specifically written as a woman. Just because you didn't realize she was a woman doesn't mean she isn't.

Sten's obsession with sweets didn't provoke eye-rolling because it's Sten learning to deal with yet another unfamiliar concept. For him, it was a more pleasant discovery than finding out that females can be warriors, but it was still something new and different to him. With Leliana, it's just a cliche.

Oi, someone made a comparison to real-life combat mechanics/physics. Were did I put that bottle of tequila..
Dragons are stupid. Let me tell you why.
First off, a lizard can't get to that size because of their build. The reason dinosaurs were able to become so large was because of the elevated levels of oxygen in the Jerrasic period.
Also, how do they fly? Their wings would have to be much, much larger to provide the amount of lift necessary to lift a creature the size of a high dragon off and ground. And don't mention airplanes! OMG, you'd have to be completely ignorant of aerodynamics to compare the wings of a dragon to propulsion of a airplane or jet.
While I'm at it, you need to make the bulge in the smallcloth of male dwarves much larger, BioWare. I'm not going to go into detail, but male primates in harem situations evolve differently than humans where females and males both show multiple partner tendencies.
That said, I recently compared a map of earth to that of Thedas and I think we have a problem. Ferelden needs to be much colder. Unless the ocean is blowing hot air. We're talking Nunavut here, BioWare.
