Dragons are stupid. Let me tell you why.
First off, a lizard can't get to that size because of their build. The reason dinosaurs were able to become so large was because of the elevated levels of oxygen in the Jerrasic period.
Also, how do they fly? Their wings would have to be much, much larger to provide the amount of lift necessary to lift a creature the size of a high dragon off and ground. And don't mention airplanes! OMG, you'd have to be completely ignorant of aerodynamics to compare the wings of a dragon to propulsion of a airplane or jet.
While I'm at it, you need to make the bulge in the smallcloth of male dwarves much larger, BioWare. I'm not going to go into detail, but male primates in harem situations evolve differently than humans where females and males both show multiple partner tendencies.
That said, I recently compared a map of earth to that of Thedas and I think we have a problem. Ferelden needs to be much colder. Unless the ocean is blowing hot air. We're talking Nunavut here, BioWare.
You. You are spectacular.

Interesting tidbit
Biceps don't even factor into the force of a swing, you're triceps do, & Aveline has some very nicely defined tri's
Shale was a female dwarf's soul inhabiting a lump of stone. Her soul is female, her form is rock.

Obviously, the air has much higher levels of oxygen in Thedas. It's also much thicker, making it easier for dragons to fly.Maria Caliban wrote...

And since it's thicker and it has all these dragons flying around in it, the warm air from the equator is getting pushed all way to near the poles. Sometimes a dragon flapping her wings thousands miles away can even cause tornados. The Ferelden call it "dragon effect".

The ability to "tank" does not require upper body conditioning. Plus women have a stronger core which is of more benefit when keeping you center of balance defending against multiple foes.

Nice post, I'd like to pose a counter point though, not that I have a problem with your point of view, but I love debate.
Dragons could have a hydrogen or helium bladder to assist in flight & for fire breathing. A dragon is not a "lizard" it is more or less a unique animal like the platypus, the dragon has a reptilian look yes, but it does not have cold blood. If it has warm blood then it's potential size allowance gets bigger, to the size of elephants or more, as the larger a mammal is the less energy is wasted, the dragon is now a more active creature on top of everything else.

May I suggest the party be semi naked Elf women in leather bikinis. Have them bend over a lot. Morrigan was a good start, but your players might be wanting more than side-boob galore this time. It doesn't need to be classy or tasteful of course, just go for full on whorish. Also, have the sexiest one constantly stop to flirt with the player. She could say things like, "I'm so lonely... Nobody understands me!
May I also suggest using the bimbos... I mean female characters, to constantly explain basic principles to the player. The players wont spot anything as their attention will be elsewhere. So have the characters stop and say, "Look! Over there! It's a Troll." They can then explain the tricks needed to kill the Troll. That way the player doesn't have to think or figure out anything for themselves. After all, they will probably be pre-occupied deciding which "button that does something awesome" to use.
p.s. If you need any more help I'm available on contract, when I'm not doing my motivational speeches.

For that to be true muscle mass would need to have no impact on strength, and that in turn would mean there's also no strength difference between adults and kids...Mecha Tengu wrote...

For what's worth the olympic world record in weight lifting is 326 kg for women and 472 kg for men. Seeing how that's nearly 45% difference... sceptical.

of course to an extent, strength is scaled down to weight, else I could call the the average man weak because he is physically unable to exert the force of a 300 kg grizzly bear.
While women are physically smaller, I truly believe that they are just ass capable of dishing out a real fight. But women these days are often encouraged to stray from physical activity, which further propagates the stereotype of male physical dominance

A mouse spends more energy per pound than an elephant, size gives it a slower metabolism. that's why elephants can go so long without eating.
