I'd love good looking armor.
But, ummm, our companions don't change clothes, do they?
For that matter, does Hawke change clothes?
Ew. Does Hawke even bathe?

But seriously, that stuff is handwaved, no one want's a minigame in which we try to recover from Nug induced diarrhea as Varric

I will hardly get the feeling of looking for new armor and the customization that comes with it when only Hawke is able to use the armor, and with that random armor Hawke is always going to look like a penniliess hobo with clipping issues while the companions get better defense wearing spandex.

I believe their armor changes when there's a time jump(Mike said it gets upgraded), so it's likely that Aveline will wear armor in the future
Can robes get enchanted?

Are there gonna be any wicked supreme armor?
Something to look forward to in the game in DA2?
Like better looking robes for mages and Evil/Good armor? For special classes?
I'm expecting buster blade sized swords, and shoulderpads of doom taller than our characters.
after all, its the L33T look.
All armor will also have spikes over it, and look like its a foot thick.
Except for woman. Remember, the less it covers, the more it protects.

Unique, yes. Stylized, yes. Also silly and noticably impractical. But as I say, that's my taste. Others may like it. Me, I preferred something that looked usable, as the medium, heavy, and massive armors did in DA:O. The light armor was also silly. Not as bad as Isabella's outfit, though. I'll give it that.My Avatar is a turtle wrote...

So far, I think the armor looks pretty silly. The landscapes in the new style seem okay. Kirkwall looks good. The armor and the characters/creatures, not so much--at least to my personal taste.
It's far more stylized and unqiue
The PC no longer looks like a Generic Plate Wearer which i think is great for fantasy settings

The Trailer armor is only available during the exaggerated sequences right? I wish you could get that. And I wish it had an upgrade system similar to Shepards' N7 armor in ME2. In addition to the other armor you can buy/loot.

seriously, no. ME2's upgrade system was a round the world clusterf***. It might not have been that bad if they'd assigned some numerical values to it, or if you didn't have to strip mine the galaxy for it, but the upgrade system hardly fits Dragon Age, unless suddenly the game is being dumbed down to the lowest common denominator.

I doubt it. Why would Varric describe you in armor you've never worn? Especially when you'll probably get impressive, memorable armor in later parts of the game.

He apparently over embellishes allot of things. I'd imgine he'd say you were wearing cool armor instead of say a leather cuirass and some sandles.

I'm not saying cut and paste it. I'm saying buyable upgrades that actually add something to gameplay. And upgrades are essentially the same as new armor, except they enhance your current.

If there are upgrades, then they better enhance your armor more than ME2's.
Example: FuturePlex Shield Enhance - raises your shields by 2%
Wow, cool! A whole 2%! Yeah right...
I spent the whole game on just default gear, since nothing did anything significant besides making Shepard look like she has 6 nipples.

Helm
Shoulders
Cuirass
Gauntlets
Fauld & Tasset
Chuisses
Boots
Then have a handful of materials & a handful of different styles, & have the stats & enchantments for the armor spread out in to the smaller bits

Right. But why not say that you wore the cool armor that you actually once wore?
For example, if I were going to tell a 'cool' tale about the Warden, I'd stick her in the Warden-Commander's armor, the Blood Dragon armor, or the Legion of the Dead armor.

Why doesn't Aveline wear proper armour?
She does wear proper armor, simply not at the beginning of the story.

The bad-arss armor concept should result from the evolution of the basic sets, for example the templar set that Hawke wears should have the templar logo(the sword or the sun with the eye) so you know its a templar armor, but the armor should be bold, unique, so when the he appeares in any part of the game you know whos the champion of Kirkwall. Im not asking for a knight-commander armor, I want something different, different from the basic templars of Kirkwall(the templar set is just an example)
Hope that someone agrees with me and my cry reaches bw

I agree. Ridiculous spikes and protrusions may look neat, but if characters wouldn't be able to realistically move or see in them it breaks the immersion for me. Allthough that might be because I make armor and subconcously pick out impractical parts of a design.
