I don't think its a good idea; there is too much at stake and included Bioware will have to use more funds developing a multiplayer element that (in my idea) will reduce the quality of the singleplayer story, I say stick with singleplayer

i agree but disagree i severly want multiplayer but if the singelplayer is cut back i want them to work on the singel palyer first what i mean is after they complete the singel player story work on a multiplayer or like i said incorperate it into the story as drop in and drop out co-op i dont care if it pushes the release date which it would it would be more than worth itdisjunctionreaper wrote...

I'd like a multiplayer ME-themed game, but I'd prefer it be made from the ground up as a co-op/online game. Shoe-horning multiplayer capability into a single player game (especially the end of a trilogy) just doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
So I'll say no.

Not me.
I'm all for multiplayer, but please leave ME3 be. It's not the game for multiplayer. They can always make a spinoff and add that to it.

I'm 'ok' with it. In general, I feel that most single player RPGs dont translate well into Multiplayer. I half expect the multiplayer ME game to turn into like most other FPS.
Spawn point camping, everyone goes for a FoTM set-up, random idiot spamming on chats, clogging up the npcs. and etc etc.. Which sounds really awesome in theory but will probably end up semi anticlimatic. I will probably find it funny... at least for a while.

Though it sounds fun, I think the more time spent on the story will create a much better game than using that time to develop a multiplayer side to it.

If it was multiplayer, I'd have to, like, deal with other people. I don't want to do that.

No. Unless it allow us to play as the others teammates. But even in that chase, Multiplayer is the thing I care less about ME3.

After single player ME3 will be done and released I don't mind have MMO, multiplayer, strongly wanted by my boyfriend RTS in ME universe and whatever else. And I do want to see how it all what started in ME and ME2 will end - feature of ME series we all love is story, dialogues and sometimes decisions, I don't see the way this can be included in multiplayer game.

I was almost going to say 'Yes', because all these people spamming threads with 'No' without any further justification make me want to facedesk.
Anyway, I'd rather not see MP on ME3, since it doesn't really fit the series. A spin-off game with multiplayer options ? I am all for that.

If there would be multiplayer then EA would probably pump up the budget and pass the multiplayer part on to DICE.

Good lord, this question is still showing up on the Mass Effect Forums?
I'm pretty sure the universal answer is always no.

As mostly everyone has said, absolutely not. I have no objection to a multiplayer shooter in the Mass Effect universe, but I will be royally pissed if they include it as part of the campaign in Mass Effect 3.
This is the end of a completely story-driven trilogy; the culmination of all our actions in the first two games and the conclusion of all the various story arcs the games have introduced. Up until now, it has been a very personal singleplayer experience, and that is where the game gets its power. Adding multiplayer to it would not only ruin the immersiveness, but it would create a real hassle when it comes to balancing two players. Sure, they can both fight in combat but what about dialogue? Someone has to make the choices and the two will always fight about "No, pick THAT choice!"
No multiplayer for Mass Effect 3. I really don't like the idea of bringing in new fans for the final part of a trilogy either. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for people getting introduced to Bioware and Mass Effect but I don't think Mass Effect 3 is the way that should happen.
*waits for the onslaught of threads asking "Hey, I never played the first two; should I before I play Mass Effect 3?"

No, there are dozens of games out there with multiplayer, go play one of them if you want it.
ME3 is the end of the trilogy, dont ruin it by adding multiplayer, give us a epic, long, single player. I dont see all the fuss in multiplayer, why does every game need it? It's the same thing over and over again.

I'd like ME3 to be multiplayer-free.
