I've never invested in the upgrade "Subject Zero Biotic Boost," which is supposed to increase Jack's biotic damage by twenty percent. Every time I take Jack with me on a mission, she's just a Pull bot, and Pull doesn't do damage to begin with. However, I'm beginning to wonder if this was shortsighted of me, because it just occurred to me that Warp Ammo does do damage, albeit indirectly. Does the upgrade affect Warp Ammo at all?
Does Jack's upgrade improve Warp Ammo?

Ammo powers will only benefit from power damage effects but strangely neither tech or biotic upgrades. So yeah, Jack's upgrade is pretty worthless.

Ammo powers are considered to be combat skills, not biotic or tech skills. Biotic and Tech damage upgrades won't affect them. Only "Power damage" bonuses affect Ammo powers.
So, yes, Jack's Biotic Upgrade is fairly worthless, since she only had Shockwave as a "damaging" biotic ability, and the damage on that isn't enough to really write home about anyways. It's a CC skill, not a nuke.

Wish Jack had Warp. That'd make her the super-biotic she was meant to be to begin with.

In my opinion it would not seem like too much of a deviance for them to make an exception here and allow the Subject Zero Biotic Boost to apply to Warp Ammo. If I recall correctly I believe with general "+ power damage %" abilities that the value of the extra damage from the ammo power is what the power bonus % is applied to, rather than say stacking onto the total percent value increase. Example: Warp Ammo rank 1 applied to a 100 damage weapon adds 15 extra damage, but with a +15% power damage ability (like Nemesis) it would increase the bonus damage to 17.5 instead of 30 (the latter being what you would get if the % values were combined before calculating the damage increase). IF this is the case then I think applying the +20% damage upgrade to her ammo power would not be particularly game breaking, but would provide a somewhat more enticing reason to obtain the upgrade. SinceShepard can gain a substantial + Power Damage % increase to all powers from armour and class abilities it makes it less worthwhile for you to invest in Warp Ammo with Jack when Shepard can learn/swap it with a far greater efficiency.
The above arguement becomes more compelling when you consider that Garrus has an Ammo Power and a general "+ power damage %" ability , whereas the rest of the recruits with Ammo Powers do not--yet the damage value increase of his Ammo Power is still comparable to Jack's Warp Ammo considering the range of protections each applies against..
With regard to her other powers; I personally feel it does make Shockwave a bit more enticing of a choice, given that she does not have to invest in prerequisites like an Adept or a Vanguard would to learn it. While I understand a large portion of the gaming community is of the consensus that this is a very sub-par power, especially on higher difficulties, I feel it is a bit underestimated. I find its tactical and battlefield control applications to be far more versatile than other powers, and at least in Jack's case she can make the most of it.
In terms of Pull: In the Gameplay Data sticky thread, Christina Norman mentions that biotic powers deal x1.5 damage to enemy barriers (whereas Warp and Reave deal x2 damage) . While all powers damage enemy protections, biotics are specifically effective against barriers (as are tech powers against shields). In this case, Jack's biotic Pull power would likely deal x1.7 damage against barriers. Of course the real question is what IS the damage value of non-damaging powers against protections? Depending on the damage value it could make a power like Pull Field (combined with Squad Warp Ammo, triple team fire on separate targets, and the Subject Zero power cooldown reduction) an effective tactic for dropping multiple enemy barriers, but on a timeframe potentially comparable to Area Reave perhaps?
Granted I do not have the means to record play sessions or the abilty to investigate game files, or the time to test that theory, but it is a thought. I would be curious to get the input or opinions of others.

I also recall killing wounded low-health enemies with Pull before. One particular instance was with the fight with the Eclipse Sisters during The Justicar recruitment mission. Of course that could also have been due to the exposure to Minagen-X3 dust or perhaps I simply 'pulled' the Sisterhood Initiate into a graphically un-rendered bullet..
With regard to Warp: I would have liked her to have it, but I would concede that it would likely make her the most powerful character in the game. So much so that it would possibly have forced them to nerf her or Warp detonations in general. Pull Field followed by an Unstable Warp every 4.95 seconds on one character..devastating! If she kept Warp Ammo with that equation it would have been even deadlier.
That said, I do believe I recognize Courtneay Taylor's voice when the Eclipse Asari Vanguard uses her Warp attack ("deploying warp field!!"). If I am correct then one could theorize it might have been re-used voice recording from a time in development when Jack may have had Warp in her power repertoire. Though this is pure conjecture on my part, and suffice to say I think any vocal mnemonics Jack might use with her powers would clearly contain more expletives and fewer tactical declaratives.

This would have been awesome, indeed. I'm still holding out hope for a level cap increase and more skills for companions in ME3.
