I purchased, downloaded and installed DAO Ultimate edition on my comp. When I run the program and hit play. Im prompted to an EA activation. I try to log in and get the message "We're sorry an error has occurred." with no explanation to what the error even is.

I then tried creating accounts and remeeming my codes for the ultimate edition which seemed to work on the bioware site. but still no success.

Does anyone know what This error is and How do I fix it?Posted Image

I have been trying to solve the same problem for a couple of days. I've tried about every trick I could find on the internet (re-loaded, deleted files, altered files, changed accounts, changed permissions) and even tried to get help from EA customer support with no success. Now I'm waiting for a response from a senior support tech. I'd love to hear any suggestions. This is the first and last time I purchase a game this way. :pinched:

Exact same issue here.

I've also been in contact with EA support... we're on day 7 now.

I've reinstalled the game multiple times, ensured the DA: O Content Updater service is running manually, and even poked around in my system registry thinking there was possibly a synchronization issue when the activation client tried to compare the key registered to my account to the one in my registry.

Edit: I've also tried updating my VC++ 2005 libraries... and installing the EA Digital Manager.

Still no dice.

Ok , somehow I fixed the problem. All I did was download the EA Download manager. Logged on .. it detected my games and I hit play through EADM. Also , I had to change my password so it didnt have any special characters.. only letter and numbers.. All is good hope this helps! Now Im playing happily

Having a similar problem. Bought DA Ultimate and entered the code and such as instructions. Game says I have it here, but when I try to play any of the DLC that came with Origins it won't let me saying that my account is not authorized for it. Did online chat with an EA rep that was completely worthless and was "Passed on to a senior support specialist who will reply to m shortly." It's been 8 hours and I haven't heard from anyone.

I'm currently experiencing the same problem, although I suppose it's "my fault" for trying to solve my OTHER problems (DLC random unauthorized, DLC not working, etc. etc.) Unfortunately for EA those original problems weren't my fault. Unhappy paying customer, beginning to feel serious sympathy for those of the buccaneer persuasion.
