Look what a small team like CDProjekt have done with Witcher 2, and then look what an EA backed Bioware with a huge team has done to DA2.

I know you shouldnt feed the trolls, but personally, I've never been all that impreesed with Witcher 2, looks good, but not spectacular in regards to DA for me.

Well you're entitled to your opinion, but personally I prefer the new art style over the old. That said, this has already been brough up a number of times so I'm not sure why your starting yet another thread about this topic.

There must be something wrong with me...because the Witcher 2 doesn't look as good to me as DA2. Then again I prefer the art style and design of DA2 over the Witcher 2 but that's just me.

yep, u don't know what... or much for that matter.  Why don't u play the game first before u start pissing on it.  I hate graphic ****s. DAO did not have great graphics but was stil a great game.

So what. As a person who played the original Civilization for years, I think the latest Civ games are really ugly. Or the latest Prince of Persia games. Or...anyway, I don't go their forums and post stuff such as "X is a really ugly game."

If you don't like it, don't buy it, I say.

Do you know what other game looks "ugly" by today's standards? World Of Warcraft. However, its success speaks for itself.

I quite like it. Less generic looking which, upon retrospect, was probably why DA:O didn't really latch on to me, even though I did enjoy it and played through about 6 times.



Then again, about 90% of what people are whining about on this forum I am fine/pleased with. So whiny srsly.

I don't know what you guys are talking about but I have seen screenshots of Dragon Age 2 and the game looks incredible.

WoW is an MMO, totally diffrent standards on what's acceptable in terms of graphics

The only thing I find ugly about this game are the redesign of the Darkspawn. You can't just go and redesign the Darkspawn! It's like if George Lucas would redesign Stormtroopers.

Not really... a very common complaint about the game upon release was how cliche' and unorigonal they look. Too which I agree. Genlocks looked like they walked strait out of lotr and Hurlocks looked like they walked strait out of Gears of War.

I don't think George Lucas had people up in arms about how cliche the stormtroopers looked.

I think The Witcher 2 looks fantastic. much better than Dragon Age 2 visually. Frankly, unless a person loves the stylistic aspect of Dragon Age 2 (which is fine and dandy), then people who claim otherwise prob haven't even seen The Witcher 2 in high res. Comparing The Witcher 2 to DA2 is allot like saying Call of Duty Black Ops has better graphics then Fall-Out Las Vegas. Borderlining on fact not opinion (I may be wrong on this comperison, feel free to bash it.)

BUT Dragon Age 2 will have it's own strengths over The Witcher 2 I'm sure. I fully expect two great games, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Who cares about graphics, I have an old game using jRPG mechanics which got more entertaining value in 6 mb than many 25 gigs games (I'm looking at you SW:TFU).
