Anyone know of a method? I'm finding my lead characters class & race to be useless for SoZ (Was doing a Warlock/Cleric combo, utterly useless early game.)

And I was wondering if there was a way I could change the race of my party leader so I could further use a character editor to reclass & level him. D:

Any advice guys?

AFAIK, you can delevel a character with the console, and then relevel it (I don't know the codes). But that way you can only delevel it to level 1, so the race and the first class would be the same.

I don't know if there's some editor, take a look at the Vault.

I suggest you to make the first character the OM leader, you can run into some undesired battles otherwise.

Yeah I opted to redo everything.

Now my biggest problem is going to be finding a caster companion that isn't part of my initial 4 man party.

If you want, you can edit some archives and make a party of six. I don't know what you need to do exactly, someone else can give you the specifics.

Open your Toolset. At the top, click Plugins/Campaign Editor.
Select Neverwinter Nights 2 Campaign_X2. Then edit the form to the right and save it. The particular variable you want to change is PartyCreationSize.

If you don't want to go that route, there is a wizard companion available.  She's underpowered, though.

Oh, and you can change your main character completely if you need to do that in the future.  You just need the proper tools.  I've posted the method several times, both here and on the old Forum.  Googling "nwn2 i_raps leto" should find the posts.

[edit]  I just did a quick check.  The search string does work.  I'm Immortal!  Posted Image

I was going to go for Sorceror for the sake of infinite casting, instead of having the finite spells via spell slots.
At least I think Sorc functions like that, it's been quite some time since I've touched NWN.

In actuality I was going to take the human ranger female you find in Samarghol and retool her (with a char editor) for Sorceror, I'm just woefully un knowledgeable on character builds. So I've spent some time looking for one.

Beyond simply eyeballing every character level that is.

And thank you for the information on party size, and changing main character's race.

No, Sorcerors don't have infinite casting. That would be Warlocks.

Sorcerors only have spontaneous casting, which means they can cast any spells they know from a given spell level, as long as they still have open slots on that level. But are limited by daily number of casts for each spell level nonetheless.
