UPDATE: December 16, 2010:

Square Enix delays Deus Ex, slashes forecast from Gamespot:

"...Square today confirmed that wasn't the only game being knocked off track, with Deus Ex: Human Revolution moving into the next fiscal year. It had been previously due out before the end of March.
"This delay was "to spend additional time to further polish" the title, Square said. Talking to GameSpot, Square confirmed that the game was now due out before April 2012, but that no other release information was currently available. "

from http://www.gamespot....adlines;title;1:crying:

Well, this is great news. /sarcasm

This was my original post over week ago, it's sad in hindsight:

RPG fans rejoice!  Recently it has come to my attention that Dragon Age II and Deus Ex: Human Revolution are both coming out the same day (in NA),  March 8, 2011.  Not anymore, DX:HR will be coming out before April 2012.

Obviously everyone here is going to get DA2, but is anyone going to get Human Revolution on that same day?

(No fanboy wars please, I know that this is a Dragon Age forum and opinions will be noticably biased, but behave yourselves, they're both looking to become great games.)

It's the 8th for DA2.

I plan to get both of them, not on the same day, but eventually.

I think it's great, especially if they both do their predecessors justice. I love sci-fi and fantasy, and it'll be great switching between the two...just won't have much of a social life. :(

It's the 11th, I believe, for anybody who isn't a part of the BioWare community.

What would be the point of buying them both at the same time? Might as well buy one and then buy the other for a lower price once the initial purchase is finished.

I never played the first Dues Ex, (yes I know, heresy) Sooo, maybe. Regardless I try to play games before I decide if I'm going to buy them, so I doubt I'll get either on the release day.

Yeah, that's what I meant by saying "(in NA)".

But hey, some people like to get their fix immediately.  I've bought two games at once, and switched from one to another.  Especially if you got stuck or needed a change in scenery.  (Sci-fi to fantasy).

And it looks legit too because they're offering almost the same preorder incentives as DA2 (extra mission, bonus items), just no decrease in price for buying the Collector's Edition.

Here's hoping that both games live up to their predecessors.

Invisible war was good.

It did not live up to its predecessor sadly.

Very true, though storywise it has no predecessor because it's a prequel. :wizard:

I haven't played it yet, but most consider Dues Ex to be one of the greatest pc games ever made. I think it's safe.

I plan to get both. Don't know if I'm going to go for a physical copy or not. There seems to be a bit of confusion about the Augmented Edition for DE:HR.

Deus Ex is giving the full text off of the paraphrases- Point: Deus Ex

Deus Ex has revealed a good chunk of gameplay videos the devs have said they aren't shying away from complexity- Point: Deus Ex

Deus Ex has multiple ways to complete missions- including talking your way through and avoiding combat.- Point: Deus Ex.

At this point, I'm very excited about Deus Ex. And then Shogun 2 is coming out the week after that. Given how quickly prices drop on games, out of DA2, Deus Ex and Shogun 2, I'm guessing at most I'll likely only get 2 of those 3 at launch.

This is very exciting indeed, not to take away from Dragon Age 2, things seem to be coming along quite nicely.

It's going to be hard switching playing from one to another on release day.:o

I'm getting both, but the question remains, which to play first?

F**k, extremely tough choice. So far, I'm leaning towards playing HR first

That supposed release date isn't confirmed on any other half-way reliable resource, including the game's website and forum.

You can be right because EB has epicly screwed up preorder release dates before, and has cost some people their  money as a result, but the fact that EBgames is featuring some very exclusive items for preorder, makes this date seem plausible.

EDIT: Ign has the release date as March 8, too.  xbox360.ign.com/objects/142/14220588.html
