For a debut, that would be unwise. Gameplay footage could sell a lot of Christmas presents at this point in time so they need to get it out ASAP. When Laidlaw says "soon" I'm sure he realises that two-weeks-soon will not sell as many games as five-days-soon.D4rkFire wrote...
What are the chances they release some gameplay footage on Dec 25th?
Liklihood of gameplay preview prior to Jan 11?

I just want a Character Creator.
I second this, with an addendum.....any chance of one for the Xbox/PS3 this time around? Or a demo even?
I (and many others I'm sure) would love to have a pc cabable of playing DAO let alone DA2, but unfortunately that's not going to happen any time soon, so it would be nice for us console players to have the same chance for getting a little preview like the PCplayers did last time.

Why does the pig look nothing like the pigs in DAO?Maria Caliban wrote...

I for one would happily pay £30 for a pig in a sack.
Is the pig a love interest? Is the pig wearing realistic armor? How much can we customize the pig we get?
Also, yes to the character creator, plx.

I wonder how much strain is being put on the devs to meet the deadline.
At 3 months from release both DAO and ME2 were in feature lockdown and Gaider and Laidlaw are saying DA2 changes constantly right now. I'm very curious about what is going on...ok....curious and worried

You forgot: "Who does the pig's voice? Will the pig be in the exaggerated part? Will I be able to interact with the pig for longer than 10 minutes before Varric tells me what happened next?"
All pertinent questions for the inquiring mind!

Although the rest of the world will be sorely disappointed when it turns out to be Canadian "bacon."

Bacon is removed from the game and repackaged as DLC, because greedy Bioware knows the consumer market can't resist the call of bacon.

The animations for eating bacon are too flashy and over the top. Has this become a JRPG? Moreover, Hawke doesn't wear enough armor when he eats bacon.

Only someone who has never seen me eat bacon would say that. I consume my bacon with theatrical enthusiasm,

Unless you guys ****** me off in the coming days, in which case it will just be a montage of explosions from Michael Bay movies, punctuated by Alistair riding a rocket-powered surfboard into the sun...

It's official, Alistair will not appear in DA2, he's busy riding a rocket into the stun.

Absolutely true on both counts.
I am happy we are getting a gameplay video.
Is there any chance we could have more info on the friendship\\rivalry system before the gameplay video?

Maybe. But then people will complain that Bioware intentionally made the game look more intelligent in that video than it normally is.
Like that movie White Chicks.
