I've poured a million hours into Mass Effect (more like 200 but close enough)... this game is so damn personal for me that when my 360 got stolen a few months back, I was more pissed than anything that my ME saves were gone.

There is no way I can go into ME3 without importing Shepard from ME2. There is no way I will start ME2 again without importing from ME. I would love to do everything again, but I really loved Chi Chang Shepard and how perfect he was to my play style...



So to make a long story short, since all the data are gone from my harddrive... there is no way for me to recover my Shepard from EA's servers or anything is there? I'll just have to start over from the beginning.

My 360 broke and I had to forfeit my Slim with the hard drive, which includes my ultimate Mass Effect character that no joke looks exactly like me (it took awhile), anyways you know its gonna be some time before ME3 comes out so don't worry besides I think it is good to play over again sometimes like what i have to do soon...ive been playing on a different profile with a character and have been able to play the dlc and stuff

I feel your pain, though not on the 360 getting stolen part.  I remember back when Oblivion was my life I accidently saved over a character I had put well over 200 hours on, needless to say I was on the brink of tears.  But I just jumped back on the saddle and made a bigger better and more badass character.  I know it sucks but would you rather go through it all again and get the satisfaction of finishing a trilogy with YOUR Shephard or just sit there and not get to experiance it?

Thanks for the support guys haha. I know how you feel about that too ZJR7621, I had around 175 hours on Oblivion (didn't even start the main story after all that, what a sick game) and I was mad about that, but not even as much as I was pissed about losing my ME saves. Oblivion I started a new file right away since it just feels like a character, while with ME it's like restarting a badass version of myself.



I know I'll go back to playing again from ME and starting from scratch, was just wondering if somewhere on those servers, your choices and final stats were saved. Too good to be true but doesn't hurt to ask.

No problem  I hope the next gen of consoles will start utilizing a master save feature that is uploaded to storage on the internet...That would be useful!

I definitely agree. Good taste btw. Countless hours in Mass Effect and Oblivion, agonizing over lost saves, and a Krogan avy

you know if they can easily update the xbox with the use of flash drives they could do the next best thing and actually create that feature
