it's possible. but not normally.
start a new game(Awakening). select Load from other module. make sure your Origin character there.
then alt-tab
replace WH save with Origin's last save. in my case, Documents\\\\\\\\BioWare\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\Characters\\\\\\\\Hero5\\\\\\\\Saves\\\\\\\\Slot_9(WH save) -> Hero\\\\\\\\Saves\\\\\\\\Slot_145(Origin save).
back to load screen. you cannot see your WH character at there and in Advanced. but it loads last save which you replaced.
so you can play Origin->GoA->WH->Awakening. as i'm doing.
@luphini: Did you have to do anything special to make this work? DA crashes when I try this. The last save in DA:O, chronologically, is slot 228; the last in WH is autosave 3. I choose "Import from other module" and then Advanced. I replace contents of slot 228 directory with contents of autosave 3. I then select that save in question, and DA:OA starts to load, but then kablooey. Any tips?
Edit: it's working. I had been running my computer remotely, and so I had switched all in-game graphics settings to the bare minimum. Somehow this seems to be the cause of failure, because when I got home and cranked the graphics back up, it worked, just as luphini said. Nice work, luphini!
