Leliana, hands down. She doesn't seem to have been your average "spy only" Bard, judging by her backstory and the fact that she felt she needed to turn to the Chantry to expunge her sins. That, and she and Zevran have the same base character class (Rogue), so probably aren't too disimilar skill-wise until you reach their specialised stuff. And she just generally seems more badass, plus has a much better accent (French > Spanish).



So yeah, Leliana.

dunno really. i will see which one of the two appeals more to me when i play the game. maybe none of them - i am aiming for the dwarf commoner, shale, oghren + maybe dog setup- although i have no idea how i will get healed that way...

Yeah, a dwarf can romance all the romancebles (3 humans, 1 elf). Just not other dwarves. Sorry.

zeveran couldn't even set up a proper ambush that would trap bohan's son (enchantments? EN-CHANTMENTS!!!!).

but most of all- hes an elf.

now- if we were talking about who can bake better unhealthy mass-produced cookies, or cheap toys for thier fat slave owner in the north pole, then zeveran's elvish traits would shine.

I'd have to say Zev would win in a fight, based purely on the fact that he dies less when fighting, despite Leliana having better gear. Zev's an opportunist who values survival above all, even if he likes the scenery. Leliana longs for death, even if she's ranged, and jumps in the way of enemy blades, claws, and spells.

Actually leliana would win if you know how to think tactically. The problem with zevran is his abilities are based on backstabbing which in a 1v1 there wont be a whole lot of. Now if you use Leliana as an archer then zevran would probably win. But since cunning is her primary stat i prefer to grab the lethality talent and dual wield on her. It gives her more dmg than zevran for one and secondly with the bard talents she has 4 ways to stun whereas zevran only has 2. Basically it boils down to specialization talents since both of em have access to the same base talents. And lets just face it.. bard talents are far more useful in a 1v1 than assassin talents. In fact assassin talents are nearly useless unless they got a tank holding aggro.

that would be zeveran.

at MOST zeveran can motivate armies and frighten enemies with bruno-like conduct but in dragon age, people are not appaled by homosexual behavior so his antics would work more in modern day real world than dao.

Wow, what in the world happened with the end product? I would have vastly preferred the concept art version. At least he looks like he could be useful.
