If I had that helmet I'd demand it stay on, even during love scenes.

Awesome news! This, and the news that you wont look like a christmas tree when talking (spell effects will be turned off during conversations I believe) will make conversations more enjoyable. :)

Now if you only fix the dialogue wheel to toggle on/off full text... (hate the frakin paraphrasing)

Ooooh, how perfectly spiffing! < See how English you made me behave......... (*is English, so it is OK*) ;-) That will be awesome!

Erm..............Any chance on your tea/coffee break you could pop over to the Mass Effect team and show them how to remove helmets? Just wondering.............

Funnily enough, now that most/all of the companions have a set wardrobe, the ugly helm effect will already be diminished.

However, if not all companions have a set outfit a la pirate lady, we require their names, classes, and number.  For, uh, discussion purposes.  Yes, that's it.

You said it on the internet.  That means it's more than a promise, and if we don't get it, the cry of a thousand screaming video game nerds will haunt you for eternity!

Or maye for as long as a coffee break.

It's like early Christmas!

I hope not too many kittens were injured in the making of this particular toggle.

...but it looks very likely that you will be able to hide your helmet while still enjoying the statistical protection it offers in DA II.

I know this particular feature was something a few people held near and dear to their hearts, so there you go. Breaking news straight to the forum. Not something I do often, but hey, it's late, I'm tired, have a cookie.

And you know the best part? I'm willing to bet there's a sizeable number of people who will see the new helmets (for all classes) and not bother turning them off at all, because they are wicked.

Happy Monday, folks.

I am overflowing with love for you, Mike. Ahem, in a manly way, of course. *pounds chest*

...can I hug you?

Thanks mate.

Any chance you can slap the ME team untill they get the idea? (seriously, i made a helmet toggle for mass effect poll and 90% of the almost 2000 people who voted want it)

While you are schooling them, have your writers explain the concept of "Party Banter" to theirs.

This feature doesn't make any sense at all but oh well, its optional and I'm all in for options & choices.

But its still a bit...Image IPB

Is that nice, I hope this was born of extra time, not dropping something else.

Do any of our companions wear helmets?

If so, would they be disabled by this?

Oh god, you reminded me of those eyesores. I have no idea what the devs were thinking when they came up with woolly, knitted dunce caps for mages and thought it would be cool.

But that's a discussion probably best left alone. We have enough material to rant about anyway, let me not beat the dead horse.

Hell yeah!

I know you guys have to answer that toggle isn't the solution for everything, and you're right; we didn't even need it in this instance.

But I'm glad you decided to put the extra work in--however much or however little--to make this one happen. This is the only toggle I've ever (of the ones that aren't regularly included in games to begin with) felt my gaming experience would truly benefit from.

Thanks a bunch!

I would have said that too...before I put mage hats on Morrigan and Wynne.  Then I took their hats off until I got the invisible helmet mod.

don't you mean "for"  mass effect? since as far as i know mass effect doesn't have a helmet toggle (keeping helmet's stats but deciding whether or not it's visible)

Nice! I didn't really mind the helmets in DA:O - especially since they auto-toggled of in dialogues - in fact, I actually liked some of them. Okay, maybe not the feathered dunce-caps but the hoods were neat, and the Helm of Honnleath looked really nice, as someone stated. And I have a hard time picturing Sten or Alistair charging into battle dressed in heavy armor but without any kind of protection on their heads. But it's awesome that we might get the opportunity to toggle them off, yay for opportunitys!
