ME2: The fight I've probably still died the most on since I started playing insanity long time ago is the double scion fight on horizon. I still tend to get swarmed by those husks while trying to avoid the scions and my CC abilities don't work well since they're all armored and coming at me from every angle. I look forward to the preatorian fight on horizon after that kind of onslaught.

Am not sure what it is like on Insanity (as I've never tried it yet) but I know on easy/normal there is a neat little trick to beating them Scions.
Basically when you get to the door leading to that area, as long as you don't go down the steps you should be able to hit them at their spawn point from where you are. You should be able to just make out the edges of them, either the back end of one on the right side or the sticking out arm on the left side of that central column where the computer is.

Then once they are dead all you have to worry about is the husks when you go down the steps (which only spawn at that point).

That sounds like a pretty neat trick, though I've been playing only insanity for some time and I like the challenge. The only other places I sometimes die is on the SM when you have to fight the scion and husks from within the bubble (but thats not really a boss fight), and the side quest with the three YMIR mechs.

Basically, getting swarmed is the only thing that gets me anymore since husks/dogs/varren/etc. are all armored on insanity, and getting swarmed is about the only time I have to pull out the arc projector to save my ass. Even preatorians and YMIRs I can drop fast (except for those three in that one mission) as long as I pick complimentary squadmates.

What about the last fight in Overlord?

It's not particularly hard but that data seems to download pretty quick if you allow it to connect.

2. Those YMIR mechs can be easily avoided altogether by simply hitting them with overload, pull, concussive shot, or warp while they're still on the cranes. They fall and explode.

But if you avoid YMIR fights, you miss one of the most awesome things in the game:  nuclear explosion headshots!

Who wants to make the game easier on Insanity? It's there to be the toughest shooter aspect of the game(And is also, very fun). The real trick with Scions is to simply circle him and let your teammates take the aggro from you, then shoot him in the blue spot on it's back.

As for Thresher Maws in ME1, two easy things:

One, they will come out in the same predetermined spots

Two, press the right bumper(for Xbox) and you'll take a bunch of health away from it with a cannon, if you didn't know that.

And, if you enjoy making them challenging as well, run through the spots they come out, that'll be fun. Hated ME1 after a few playthroughs, killed them for experience.

Also, if you group them together, even on Insanity. Head shot one, and it will explode the other one as well. Grouping them together is very easy, they march straight forward, just take cover when they fire rockets and evade the machine gun fire, if you need to tease them.

Or if you really don't want to move, send your squad members out to tease them, Unity will fix them if they die.

The human Reaper.

It's not even that hard. Just shoot the giant "**** me" lights.

Used Stasis on Captain Wasea from Samara's RM, somehow she disappeared immediately of the map and couldn't progress the mission, weird.

But for me the Praetorians/Oculus; those particle beams are relentless.

:(

Attempting to beat the Therum Battlemaster on Therum at a low level with no proper biotic. On insanity. That was impossible.

The Oculus isn't really that hard, you just have to take your time and move from cover to cover when it is safe to do so. Or nuke the damn thing.B)

Also, I think the Praetorians are MUCH harder than the final boss, especially seeing as it always has those damn husks following you around. I like to let my squaddies take out the husks which lets me focus on the Praetorian. There is an easy way to take out the Scions as well: don't let the shockwave get anywhere near you. That thing will take you out faster than Collector General's fire biotics and singularities...

I had some trouble with the Therum fights. Those are really the only ones I can remember on the top of my head as killing me a couple of times. The praetorian on the collector ship also was a bit of an annoyance.  In ME2 I also had some problems with shutting one of the doors in the Archangle recuritment mission, but maybe that was just me going about it the wrong way.

Didn't think Benezia was that hard though, except for one time where she tossed me into a game glitch so I couldn't move.

To be honest, I'll take a boss fight any time over a horde of husks though. I hate those things.

Doing the Alarei as Adept is just painful. Especially against the geth Prime. I ragequitted there.

ME1: Benezia is very annoying

ME2: As a Vanguard nothing is annoying as Hock in Kasumi's loyalty mission. Charging is ineffective because of the buggy platforms. You get the "can't get a lock" non sense all the time even when they're off the platforms. You kill the gunship to fast it bugs out and never comes back, you kill it to slow no more guards spawn for you to "clear a path" for Kasumi resulting in her never advancing the fight.

It isn't a hard fight, except that in the cargo bay there are some parts of cover that although cover Shepard completely the Oculus beam still somehow hits you through the object when it shouldn't.

Definitely the Asari Commando & her squad in Miranda's loyalty mish. The fighting area's so tight that there's practically no area to bunker down. Cover's useless too, particularly if one of your squaddies dies and the enemies have a clear corridor to flank you from behind.

In ME1... I'd have to say anything with a rocket launcher on the Hardcore difficulty. Anything from the rocket drones, to the rocket geth, to the rocket turrets. I instantly died near the end of ME1 from those turrets you encounter... than I remembered that I didn't save. Now that's a b*tch.

For ME2 - There's a couple. Anytime you fight 2 scions at once it's always pain especially on Insanity.I've always found myself in the unlucky situation where they just synchronized their pulse firing and it kept me pinned down to no end, while killing my squadmates in the process and allowing the husks and collectors to come around and have a field day with me...
The shadow broker agents and the waves of indoctrinated alliance troops from Arrival were very aggressive on Insanity.

I can't believe people had that much trouble with Benezia.

Underrated damping would be a guess.
Most crappy bossfight in Mass Effect 2 was the overlord end boss without the cain.

Therum Battle Master. My first ME playthrough ever (I was probably level 9 and fresh off the Citadel). I got sick of listening to the Critical Mission Failure song. I was in a USAF dorm at the time. People were clowning on me LOL.

I'm hopping on the Benezia band-wagon. Those damned stairs + Benezia's biotics = my ankle stuck inside the geometry helplessly flailing around as Liara and Garrus get their asses kicked.

Only time I had any trouble was fighting husks on Insanity. I know, they're not technically bosses but those stun locks could were just nuts!
