Alistair most definitely did the ritual, otherwise Morrigan wouldn't be there
I got a great laugh when it turned out Alistair and Leli got together, I couldn't think of a more natural pairing.

I also enjoyed DSC as the alternate ending. It was fun to play an ogre and I fell in love with "grab." It was a little tough offing some of my companions (although it was great fun stomping on some) or otherwised cherished characters but all in all it was a nice change of pace.

Awakening is definitely a must compared to all the DLC combined. The post Awakening DLC is what is unnecessary and pointless depnding on your point of view. If ou think it's easy than don't level up. Nothing forcing you to alot points or learn the new super powered bottom talents. But if you get anything, get Awakening.
Golems of Amgarrak has a few fights that are above average, mainly the that room with 4 boss-type golems, but even that is made kinda easy by the dimensional switches. Problem with with this DLC is that is doesn't seem to add anything to the story. At the end it's kinda like, "how does this factor into anything?" Besides maybe a new creature type in future games, but said creature could show up with or without the DLC. I expected alittle more because it was supposed to fit in between Awakening and Witch Hunt. But is could just as easily be before Awakening or after Witch Hunt (if your character isn't in love with Morrigan).
Witch Hunt is a waste of time, unless you romanced Morrigan and performed the Dark Ritual and want some sense of closure for the Warden. Otherwise, it offers nothing storywise and does not bring any sense of closure to the Warden storyline (there is only one outcome that can wrap up the Warden storyline and you must have romanced her). It's basicaly a Morrigan romance pack that has 2-3 hours of fluff before the 5 minute romance content.
