Well it's been a year since I posted the last update, so I just wanted to let anybody who was interested know that the 5th edition of the Toolset Notes are available. These are a set of notes and observations intended to serve as a basic user's guide and reference for the NWN2 Toolset.

This edition now includes information about crafting items, recipe books, the World map Editor, special abilities, deities, and special items. There is also more detail on lights, sounds, creature scripts, the debugging console and area appearance. FInally, in addition to adding more notes to various commands, I've added a third volume with some sample scripts.

Yes thanks very much. One thing I've learned about the toolset is that no matter how much you know, there's still a whole lot more to be revealed. This should go a long way to reducing the frustration for new users and to gain insights from the experience of the Community gained over time. Kudos for compiling these, rjshae.

Unfortunately I haven't really attempted creating an overland map yet, so I'm not really in a position to write about it. I've had problems just trying to get the campaign editor to work properly, and I got distracted recently by a big side project. Maybe in the next release...

Anything in particular you'd like to see? I've been trying just to include scripts that might be useful.

I guess you mean the NWN2 patch 1.23 content autodownloader guides on the vault?

Scripts to see? Various clever transition scripts would be nice.
