Just played through ME2 again and I have to say this guy kicks all kinds of ass.  I mean he comes across as more of an army dog then Shepard ever could and Shepard is supposed to be the ultimate soldier.
Come on Bioware in Kal'Reegar's own words to not make his a squadmate well "That's just insulting!"

I 100% agree with the OP. Kal is one of my favourite minor characters in all of the ME universe. I only wish we'd seen him more in ME2

So yeah, having Kal'Reegar as Squadmate and Love Interest for Femshep in ME3 would be Double Rainbows!

You cna have all character die at end of me2 does that mean that they arent in the game? no, i reacon bioware wil try and find a way to include companions that could be dead (maybe though jsut being like kasumi/zaeed style squadmates that don't talk) but yeah i would kill for Kal Reegar in the next game as well Adam Baldwin is god XD

I bet he gets the wrex treatment: if you start from a ME2 save where he lived, then he'll pop up somewhere. Otherwise, you're getting Kal'Wraiv or whatever the hell not-rex's name was.

You're about to open up the pandora's box of discussions man.... There are a surprisingly large amount of people on this forum who believe that no ME2 squadmate will return as squadmates, and that Shepard will recruit another dirty dozen just before stopping the reapers in the third game. [Sarcasm]Hopefully he gets a team that will stick with him this time, as going through hell and back via a suicide mission just isn't incentive enough to stick with the guy.[/Sarcasm]

I have to dissagree, Kal'Reegar was a pretty terrible character. His voice and personality is too much like a stereotypical US marine. When he fires his missle at the Colossus he even says "HOORAH!"



Why would a Quarian say hoorah? That is strictly US military jargon, there is no reason why a Quarian would ever say that!



I think if we have a male Quarian it should be a character who could provide additional insight into Quarian culture, it's hard to take that seriously when he doesn't act anything at all like an alien.

While I do agree with you, the fact you mentioned Madden is hilariously unnerving because guess which Madden creator is the publisher for Mass Effect?

But yes, Kal is awesome and if we have to have 'new' squad mates. He fall son my list of already existing characters I would love to have. No new characters for squad mates, just epic existing ones!

Umm check out this article. Hoorah, or how ever one prefers to spell it did not start with the Marines or US military in general.

It could also be a variation of huzzah, which may have come from the hussars.

Kal'Reegar is the only NPC ingame who can use a rocketlauncher, so I really want him in my squad
