I've been wondering how old Hawk is and since I'm new to the forums, I have no real idea if this has already been covered in another thread. I got the impression from something Duncan says to the Warden in the City Elf Origin that the Warden is about 20...in my opinion a good age to start a hero off on a new journey, so I'm curious as to how Hawk will be. After all he/she is going to age 10 years in DA2 so Hawk can't be a teenager. I thought I read somewhere that Hawk is 25 but I suspect that's just a rumor.

If I recall, Hawke is the oldest of the Hawke siblings, but I'm not sure how old....

Yeah, I agree. But I definitely don't think he's older than 30, I mean, he still lives with his mom and siblings (or maybe he doesn't? I'm not a hundred percent on this one) and doesn't seem to have a family on his own. Besides, if he was 30+ he'd start to get gray and wrinkled at the end of the game, and even if that would be cool I doubt that is going to happen. A character can go from 25 to 35 without aging visibly.

I'm 17 and some of the guys at school have full beards when they're only in their late teens.

I think he's much older just because of the combover he's sporting, be nice if we could one day play a druss the legend kind of character. To be honest I don't care so long as nobody calls hawke lad or youngster during DA2 (unless they're ancient), sooooooo tired of that little gem.

I sported what could fool some people into thinking it was a full beard in high school. I can tell you its thickness and coverage has nothing to do with an actual, properly groomed beard.

That sounds pretty plausible and the game designers have said Hawk's appearence isn't going to change through out the game even though ten years pass.

25ish seems like a nice consensus age. Old enough to know what he's doing, young enough to still be setting out in the world without a crapload of pre-existing responsibilities and problems.

I'm guessing 27-33. But it also depends on what Hawke we are looking at, I give that age for in game and in the CGI trailers maybe 25 tops.

That doesn't mean it's not possible for some high school-aged guys can't grow beards it's just rarer. Remember exceptions to the rule^_^.

It's besides the point anyway because I highly doubt Hawk is in his teens, I was just hoping for an exact age or at least an estimate.

Your Hawk in Dragon Age 2. I assume the guy in the trailer is the default appearence though.

Well, it wasn't very trimmed until he reached around 20, and then he got rid of it. No more do people think that he is my dad (is 2 years younger and has about as much beard-growth as your average 5 year old).

Late twenties is not a requirement.

Well the in game looks very different from the CGI model age wise (anyone remember Morri in the CGI trailers? in fact all of them looked younger compared to the game models...Sten looked way younger..)

So in game yeah 27-33
