The only good to come of the Marilyn Manson trailer was this.

I lol'd.

I've played through Origins four times and didn't realize how violent it was.

Teabaggers only believe themselves. The YouTube videos of them confronted with cold, hard facts.... the complete disregard for reality is astounding.

But let's not get political here.

as someone who is looking forward to DA2, I too am getting a bit worried.

It just feels like we have so little information, namely actually seeing the game in action, and March is only a few months away. And the deadline to preorder the Signature edition is just over a month away.

Is it being rushed out? Probably not. Probably going like bioware wants and will be the game bioware wants. Will it be a game I want? So far no, still waiting for more info . Do I like the changes they are making coming from DA:O no I do not.

I liken you guys to right wing teabaggers that support the government no matter what and believe everything they are told because they think it is patriotic.

Total contradiction in that statement. Complete misunderstanding of reality. Hilarious!

When the GOP has majorities on Capital Hill and the White House? Yes, they absolutely support government unequivocally. They don't right now because there's a black guy in the White House. Usually they do however.

Conservatives only challenge government when Democrats have majorities.

And I continue to stand by my first statement as you've now demonstrated a complete lack of understanding yet a second time. But this is political so if you feel the need to continue this further, I'll be happy to do so in PM.

Whether they're being rushed or not I don't know, but they sure as hell have been prolific these last few years. If DA2 lives up to expectations it'll be all the more remarkable.

They've been prolific for most of their past, DAO taking so long to make was the exception not the rule.

People are quick to forget just how many games Bioware put out in their early days. Look at 1998-2003 - 5 games were released along with 4 expansions, some of which were as long as full games, if not longer.

I think the fact that this thread has gone on six pages and the developers have not yet commented speaks loudly to the validity of the op's premise.

Oh? What it speaks to me is that they're busy people who have a game to make.

The developers should be glued to this forum 24/7? LOL

That and I doubt they really care. No, seriously. I know that I wouldn't want to come into a thread that's been made 50 times before, and will be made 50 times after. Whatever they say, people will still believe what they want.

They haven't commented on the vast majority of threads.  But really?  Speaks loudly?  As if an explicit denial co-signed by Mike Laidlaw, Ray Muzyka, and John Riccitiello would change a single person's mind anyway.

There are time zone issues to be fair.

But yeah, the devs tend to weigh in on issues that genuinely concern the community and the first page of this thread alone confirms this is one, if they still haven't some tomorrow then I'd be inclined to agree with you.

Haha. I'm suprised they're not working in shifts. Addressing concerns should be their number one priority.

I'm honestly confused as to what you expect them to chime in on. There was no question in your original post.

I don't think they will. Not because the concept of the thread lacks merit, but rather because it doesn't deal with specifics. They often respond to specific character or design aspects but rarely to generalized concerns in total. That sort of overreaching discussion cannot generate more than a generalized response, which will just inflame people on both sides.

Honestly I imagine not only has Bioware actually answered similar - if not exactly the same - concerns before, but they've done it multiple times. Alas, I'm not willing to endure the unintuitive, clumsy forum search to prove my point.

Well, us non-dev forum posters do...
We have poured more of our lives into DA2 than the Dev team has :P

Banishment to the forum search function. Truly a gruesome fate...:(

Edit: I want that power....GIMME!

What do you honestly expect them to come in here and say?

"Yes, we have totally rushed this game. EA made us do it and it is going to suck bad. Sorry guys."

No, but they're usually pretty good at commenting on popular threads, or threads where they think they can aleviate people's fears.

I'm not trying to troll here, I just bet the developers themselves are probably feeling a little rushed to meet the current street date presumably thrust upon them by outside forces. I have faith that they can pull it off, I just hope it doesn't burn them out in the process.
