Are the Off-hand ammo pack and Odinance pack broken?

The recent equipment threads have gotten me to take a closer look at the armor/equipment loadouts I used in previous playthroughs. So, trying out a few different armor/combos I noticed that the off-hand and ordinance packs were giving me inconsistent ammo counts... sometimes unchanged, sometimes less, but never more... Is this a common occurance, or is it just me (all my tries so far have been with post-SM, near completionist saves, with 6/6 heavy weapon ammo and extra ammo researched for my other weapons)?

It's not just you, I have noticed inconsistencies with the off-hand ammo pack. Sometimes it includes the extra ammo, sometimes it seems to not apply at all and any thermal clips I try to pick up past the non-modified amount won't increase the ammo. I stopped using it for this reason, since half the time, it was doing nothing for me.

You sure you NEVER got more? I've used the ordinance packs since launch (ONLY way to get 200% with the Cain which I ALWAYS use for the end boss) and the only issue I've ever run into is that I've occasionally had to reload because it didn't take effect at all. I've NEVER once had it put out less ammo than without them equipped. Only the same as if it wasn't and the correct 10%.

As far as the ammo pack the small ammo amounts tend to be an issue with it. On some weapons that 10% adds up to only 1 round. A quick reload has always solved those problems for me thoug.

Whenever use the ammo pack I dread picking up a new weapon or going through a locker, and I never switch weapons in the loadout screen before a mission because those instances mess up the ammo bonus. The ammo pack gives me 64 shots on the Viper before each mission, but if I switch a gun out in the loadout screen, even just for my squad, my mission starts with 59 shots -- one bullet less than without using the ammo pack to begin with. But yeah, after a reload then it's fine.

The Off hand ammo pack has been broken since launch. It usually gives me the extra ammo the first time I use it and then just when it feels like it after that.

Just like to add that the Terminus Armor and Off Hand have issues with scene transitions and going to weapon loadout screen, resetting the ammo, just go pick up some clips and the ammo gets added properly,

again it's some reset issue.

But for heavy weapons, the armor parts, and Cerberus, seem give accurate amounts and should not have any issue.

Yeah that is why I go paragon on zaeeds loyalty quest.  I needs me the 200 ammo for the end boss. It just is too long and boring of a fight without it.

Yeah they are bugged. Quicksaving then reloading fixes it, though sometimes it will fix the limit but it will not load with the amount of ammo you saved with.

lol, okay. My problems then are probably that I always check my loadout at mission start, and I've never tried reloading to fix the ammo issue.

Jeez, such bugs to have... I hope the next dlc isn't just an equipment bug fix... you know, so Sheppard & co. will have enough ammo and power cd for the Reaper invasion.
