So I defeated the demon in redcliff, went to the fade and killed her illusions and then finally her.

I did not gain access to blood mage spec. What did I do wrong? What should I have done better? :(

Thanks!

I think you have to "bargain" with the demon, not kill her. You can only do that as a mage PC.

What made you think KILLING her would be the way to do it? You can't teach while dead.

lol Morrigan went in there, I don't remember the exact dialogue, but I know I didn't just try to kill her. I think Morrigan decided that bargaining was out of the question on her own.... Unless I accidentally hit one of the number keys while the dialogue was loading... crap.

Or is it because I am not a mage PC?

If you send someone else into the fade, they will always refuse to bargain.

Not in the Dalish Elven camp. You can learn it from the Urn of Sacred Ashes questline. There is no book. Side with the cult.

That is Reaver Job not Blood Mage in the Sacred Urn quest. Blood Mage is only the Desire Demon.

No. Wrong. Both are acquired there. Blood Mage is offered to any person without the warrior class. Warriors are instead offered Reaver.

Well. Then perhaps only Mage gets Blood Magic offered. Providing you did not accept it from the Desire demon. I was offered Blood Magic.

I'm fairly confident that the only way to get Blood Magic is by making a deal with the Desire Demon, same as the only way to get Reaver is to side with Kolgrim.

I have a save, right before the gauntlet. I could try to see if he actually gives Blood Magic to me or simply is bluffing. (He clearly offered Blood Magic, that I am very sure of) But that'd have to wait until tomorrow. (I didn't actually go for it, chose the 'good' solution. Already had it unlocked anyway. Through another save.)

No, you weren't. Just because it says "Blood Magic" somewhere in the dialogue doesn't mean that's what you'll unlock. Even as a Mage it is still Reaver. Remember Reaver is basically just a Warrior version of Blood Magic.

Hmm... Well that might be it. I took Blood Magic for granted as the Mage specialization. But I'll test it, and see what I get.

You can get reaver from both the urn quest and the dwarf companion.

Is there a book for the Reaver or Bloodmage. I told the cultists at the Urn they was delusional and Morigan told the deamon she wouldn't bargin. :/

I guess I can do it on another play through any way.

Yes, that's Berserker, not Reaver.

Don't think so. You can of course try loading, accept the deal from the Desire demon (to unlock it) and then continue normally... Which is what I did accidentally. But in the end I do not regret it, quite a fun specialization.
