But ya know what really grinds my gears about ME2??
The fact that TIM tells you Liara's been working for the SB and that she can't be trusted, when he KNOWS this isn't true! He put me and my crew in harms way with that fake intel and we barely escaped the collector ship. He put Ashley in danger, and risked the lives of an entire colony to lure the collectors to Horizon. But when he deliberately tried to trick me into thinking Liara was untrustworthy and meddled in our relationship!!!

Shepard: You nearly got Ashley killed by using her as bait on Horizon.
TIM: Well, we had to lure the Collectors in somehow.
Shepard: Eh, she was mean to me anyway.

Shepard: You just tried to feed us all to the Collectors.
TIM: I didn't risk your lives unnecessarily.
Shepard: It's cool, I'm just sayin'....

Shepard: Where's Liara?
TIM: She can't be trusted.
Shepard: I've had enough of your disingenuous assertions.
TIM: Uh, Shepard, this is a holographic comm. You can't falcon-punch me from there.
Mordin: Not true! Research Tantalus device. Kill anyone, anywhere, any time. [sniff] Expensive upgrade though.

Hahaha, nice!Posted Image  I especially liked the (sniff) part.  classic Mordin for sure.

@MillaShepard  He's probably just afraid shell help a little too much [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png[/smilie]

She cares a lot about shepard whether you romance her or not and maybe he didn't want her to influence him.

So I just finished my "fan made" version of Genesis.  There's no way to make it perfect, it never will be and it certainly doesn't make up for not playing ME1, but I think my version gives it a bit more of a "personal feel".  Let me know what you guys think.     www.youtube.com/watch

My god... I'm really liking Meer more. Hale sounds bored, as if she isn't even trying. She sounds like she doesn't even care.

Well, given the material, I'm not surprised.

I don't think she sounded that bad, though.

To be perfectly honest, I thought she did a horrible job in the comic. I can't believe I'm saying that.

@TMA LIVE I actually really like Hale's version more. I hear something different than you do though. We all hear it differently. Meer always sounds too cheesy to me.

Yeah, well, wouldn't having to narrate such a badly drawn comic with such badly written dialogue bore you too?

If Liara thinks the Protheans are great then she would love the Forerunners I think.  It's their fault that the Protheans seem kind of underwhelming to me.  Ironically, the first time I saw the Presidium I was thinking, "This looks to me like something humans would make..."

Although I guess the Protheans didn't make that...ah well, I get a similar impression from the ruins on Therum or Ferros..

I just watched the video - I thought her voice acting was great. Something to consider is that this is obviously not a 'play by play'. As in, Shepard is telling this story in the past tense. As in, not as it's happening - she's reflecting on the events. She starts off discussing how it they always say it's a 'routine mission' when it's really not.

I think it's the voice of a tired soldier, resigned to things happening outside of her control. I definitely enjoyed it more than the first one. Mark Meer is good, but Jennifer Hale delivers for me yet again.

EDIT: I switched my wording. Something else, though: It starts off with her floating in space - she's facing her death. I thought the voice acting, again, was done well.

Hah! My canon Shepard actually wears the labcoat as her casual attire, as it reminds her of the time that she spent with Liara, and the depth and beauty of their romance.

When Liara visits the Normandy, however, she changes into her smart, sexy dress, as she wishes to look her best for her date with her girlfriend. ^_^

With this mod, you can wear your labcoat all the time. Might even be able to turn it green:

The thing I didn't get at first is that you have to select the outfit using the armor locker in the captain's cabin. You have to get rid of any custom arms, leggings, etc or else they cover/clip the outfit (you can keep your visor though).

Somehow this makes me think my Shepard is in "Little House on the Prarie" getting ready to go hunting

Suddenly I'm longing for a mod that puts everyone in old-timey western gear.  Can you imagine Wrex in a cowboy hat and leather trenchcoat?  Garrus with a gunslinger's belt and an eye patch?  Tali in a train engineer's overalls?  Liara in a big poofy dress?

I was cringing through the whole thing. She just sounds like "whatever, stuff happened".

I will say the "It was perfect" line sounds less cheesy.

*snip*

I'd love to use it, but I'm on the Xbox 360. No mods for me! Thanks anyway, though. :)

On the subject of casual attire in combat situations, words cannot express how glad I am that Liara wears fully protective armour in LotSB, and that she does not clothe herself in what could be considered civilian clothing. Liara is a practical woman, and she would never do something like that.

Thank you. And why am I not surprised this just further proves you could hand Hale a phone book and get back an Emmy award.

Well said.

@TMA - Thanks for posting the link!

To anyone who wants to own it for the sheer sake of owning it, it's coming out for the PC and Xbox 360 too. The comic book, that is. I'm sure that's common knowledge, but I was just throwing it out. What with tomorrow being the launch day for the PS3 version, I'm sure we'll see the other versions of the comic book soon.

Hale's voice?  Sexy??  I can't imagine why you think it's odd for you to think this.  I completely agree. Posted Image
I feel like her tone of voice is extremely appropriate for each scene she's describing.   I hereby dub her....
