Not a child. But you don't think she looks young, even though her face is based off a 22 year old?

No, not really.  She looks like a young adult woman to me.

You still said young.:)

And?  young adult =/= vulnerable

With freckles, perfect skin, lovely doe blue eyes, and that pinky nose. Come on, she's cute. :)

Or at least in ME1. Now she's a beautiful woman.

I'm not saying I don't find certain aspects of Liara 'cute' but I don't think these make her seem vulnerable or really young or childlike either.

I never perceived Liara to be anything less than a mature adult woman.

Leliana is also cute, but I've never heard people suggest that she's anything less than a capable, independent and competent adult.

Grizzly bears can be cute. Vulnerable? Not so much

I think some of Liara's mannerisms are cute. Like when she first meets Shepard and doesn't know how to "act around humans". Her ultra geekiness is cute too, but she's so much more beyond this. And i've never percieved her as young. Young looking for her age (if you wanna compare her to humans) sure, but mentally, no way. She's a highly educated woman, period.

I think the reason some people think Liara seemed somewhat vulnerable was because how much of a damsel in distress she is in her recruitment mission.

Let me sum up the last page of this thread:

TMA: Vulnerability = Attractiveness.  Attractiveness = Vulnerability.

Everyone Else: Ewwwwww ...

@TMA - I'm pretty sure you weren't trying to say that, but ... that's why the word "vulnerable" is getting jumped on, in case you were wondering.  And why you aren't going to win this argument Posted Image

I never said childlike.

And cute is just another thing.

Hey, don't put words in my mouth. Remember, I said "seems vulnerable" in ME1. Nothing more.

But it's the word "vulnerable" that's killing you, here ...

Here's an example.  The only way DudeShep's description of Liara in the Genesis Comic could have possibly sounded skeevier is if he had said, "She was as beautiful as she was intelligent ... and vulnerable."  Seriously - ninja smoke-bomb your way out of this conversation - totally lost cause.  Create a distraction!

I'll help:

Such an invulnerable survivor, that Liara.  And great fashion sense.  Practical, yet flattering.  Love the LotSB look.

The fact that she survived the bombing of the Dracon Trade Centre proves just how badass Liara is. ; )

I liked the look Liara had in lotsb, in fact I liked it so much I made my Shepard wear armor that looked almost exactly like it lol
just the color though.

Hey, I wonder, if mass effect fields can make ships move at greater velocity with less resistance then wouldn't it work for a biotic's fist?

Like Liara's in the picture up there ^

I do remember speculating that Liara would wear her Redemption armour in the then-hypothetical Liara DLC, as it would function as a reference back to the beginning of her story arc incorporating the Shadow Broker.

Thankfully, I was wrong. Her LotSB attire is awesome, and perfect for her character!

I've seen some of those designs before, but they are excellent!

It's interesting that Liara's LotSB outfit bears a striking resemblence to some of those costumes.

Yeah, I was thinking of something like the one on the left or right in this one.

Or something like the one on the left in this one.

And the main color should maybe be green.

I agree. Though I think the colorist screwed up on Liara's Redemption costume, and made it look worse then it is. On the cover, it looks great. But her LOTSB is better, and more fits her character as a combat scientist.

I also heard they were suppose to go to Omega originally in LOTSB, but they dropped it. For passing reasons, I get why it was dropped it, but I still wish there was a bit more between Illium and the Shadow Broker base. I wished Liara and Shepard talked on the Normandy or something.
