I prefer the frustated option because having everyone survive the suicide mission should warrent a small boost of confidence from Shepard.

Don't do it. That vid should have more warnings around it than the Omega 4 relay.
It's pretty depressing to watch but I must say that the voice acting and the animation is very well done there. If not, it wouldn't be as depressing as it is.

shouldn't you pick "i'm hopeful" then?
No. Because then Shepard does the exact opposite of what Liara ask.
If everyone survived the mission. Shepard first thoughts aren't of being worried about the upcoming battle, since he just kicked the Reaper's ass once again. Instead, the fact that his friends have betrayed him and the council doesn't believe him is what bothers him the most at the moment.

It's incredibly sad and depressing, but very well-done.

I liked "I'm frustrated" when I did LotSB way early. I ran it right after picking up Tali, who pointed out how crazy it was that Shepard was working with Cerberus. Coupled with running into Ash on Horizon and the crappy reception at the Citadel, and it seemed fitting.

The direction of that scene is also impressive. Take a look at how Shepard and Liara will wistfully stare at each other, but not realise that they have both done so. When one glances at the other, she is not making eye contact.

Damnit... stop making me want to watch it! I can't turn down good directing!!

Meh. Doing LOTSB early destroys the whole "rocky second chapter"

Ah okay i see how that would be the most
reasonable answer but my shep stays cool at all times, no need to get
frustrated or furious and yell at liara, This is how i see it, dialogue
that is up is for paragon, middle is kinda well the middle, and lower
dialogue is renegade.
Shepard yells. But it's definently not aimed at Liara, nor does Liara take any offence when Shepard expres his emotions. And I fail to see how feeling that everyone screwed you over is renegade.

Yes...I guess the scene would work depending on how you RP your Shepard. You can tell they still both care very much for the other but...Shepard's acting insensitive.

take for instance the choices when talking to the council you can tell them to kiss your ass or you can forget about it and become a spectre again. everything that on the bottom of the dialogue choices give me renegade so that's what i'm going for.

Oh I agree. I feel that the best time to run it is right before going for the Reaper IFF, and waiting to do the cabin scene until after the SM. The 'date' is certainly something worth coming back for!

Even that early destroys the "rocky second chapter". Since doing LOTSB secures the romance, adn therefor removes any real punch in the picture scene.

Maybe. But I still feel what Shepard feels deep down isn't tied to what morality he has.

Could someone remind me how to get Liara's "109 in a few months" line? She says it at some point in LotSB (proof e.g. in the previous threat) but I must have picked the wrong options.
Have everyone survive the suicide mission. Pick the upper option/the option highest on the wheel.

A few weeks ago, I decided to try the renegade options.
Worst. Decision. Ever.
I had to replay it Paragon again just to ease my guilty conscience.

On a sad note, the fanfic "Blue Light" has been taken down. Not impressed, it may have gotten a little insane at the end, but it had one of the most original ideas I've seen.

Now I'm curious; what does Shepard say? I've been thinking about trying it myself, but now I'm thinking it's not a good idea.

I also saw a "Power to the players" plug at Gamestop featuring Hillis and Jennifer Hale. Go figure.

I favor the renegade options when talking, and then the paragon option that gets the little blue children line
I just loooove how Liara says "if we're going to do this, I need to know you're always coming back"
the way she says it.... just..... wow.... *melts*
I'll come back to you, I promise! (cookie if you get the game reference)

Has anyone else's interest been piqued about Final Fantasy 13 solely because of Ali Hillis? Mine has, I recently saw the trailer for the sequel to FFXIII.

They seem to be showing up in the same places a lot lately. Hopefully that means they'll be doing plenty more work together, such as a spiritual sequel to ME (because I don't know what else you can do after saving the universe)...

She's very pessimistic and basically treats the relationship with the 'meh, we're gonna die soon, so who cares' attitude.
Basically, when Liara asks her what she wants, or rather, what will happen to them after the Reapers are defeated, Shepard tells her that the odds are against them and they'll probably die. Liara, obviously hurt by this, responds, asking what the point is in asking her for drinks if it doesn't mean anything.
You can choose to save the situation by saying it's not tomorrow yet, or you can just say you've been asking yourself the same question.
UGH. Some people feel that response is far more honest, but for real, yo - I plan on surviving and having the lil blue children. It's best to have hope in those situations - not to throw yourself in with the attitude of, 'Meh, who cares if I die....'
